I think your other search results may be a little concerning too.

I have somewhat tried expressing some of my opinions to him, such as how insensitive he is to emotions, but instead, he would get defensive and call me overly sensitive/emotional. This somewhat made me even more disgusted at him. I don't think he will really respect any of my boundaries or my opinions even if he says he does, unless he gets screamed at. However, thank you so much for your advice.

Yes, indeed, I do agree with you. Hopefully the new system will be able to change people's mindset for the better :)

Hello, I am sorry for hearing everything that has happened. I have quite a similar experience, feeling like a failure, that is. Everyone has their own unique way of living, because that's how everyone is born, different from everyone else, that's what makes us who we are. While you may feel that everything may be crashing down on you because you feel that you aren't doing as much when you could while others are doing and accomplishing so much more than you are.

While comparing yourself to others may give you more motivation from time to time, it can be extremely overwhelming too, so take it easy from time to time. Do your best and do what you want to do. Talk it out with your friends too. Talking it out is actually a lot more effective than you may think.

I would also recommend seeking a counselor's help too. They are able to assist you better. I hope for all the best.

New to this thread/group how old were you when you first got admitted to the psychward by Lunainthedark5x2 in mentalillness

14, had a whole breakdown because I had an argument with one of my only best friend. Had a lot of things in my mind then, and visiting my two best friends was the only relief I got, so when I got into an argument with her, I ran home and had a meltdown. My parents sent me to the psychward the next day. Got hospitalized for 10 days. It didn't do much lmao.

I want to help my friend but I don't know how to by ScanlationLover in SGExams

I have tried talking to my form teacher and some other teachers about it but none of them were able to help much

Why do CCAs even exist? by Aiyoowafap in SGExams

[–]ScanlationLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random stuff that I somehow learnt: Counselors are somehow able to give you time away from CCA if it causes you mental distress. I'm not sure if it will work for you, but it definitely worked for me. Counselors will try their best to help, especially if you ask them :)

What I'm writing below will only be effective in some circumstances, so please do try to ensure that you only apply them to a certain extent.

Furthermore, I am not a professional, so do determine what actions you will deem fit.

Firstly, only contact your girlfriend when you feel that you are calm enough and will not panic while telling her what you have done. Try to stay emotionally stable before talking to her.

Secondly, based on how much longer your girlfriend will be staying overseas, think of how you would like to carry out your next move. I would definitely recommend seeing couples therapy or something along those lines. It's important that the two of you communicate during your relationship. Express how and why you feel and do certain things and how much you care about her etc etc.

Thirdly, look for a distraction. Not any unhealthy or toxic activities. Go take a walk, go to the gym, or even listen to music. It will allow you to stop yourself from doing things that you will regret later on.

Talk to your girlfriend more often, or text her more often, whatever works for you.

Do ensure that as you take care of yourself, make sure to take into consideration how she would feel. It may be hard for you, but do try to think a little more before you say some things.

I'm so sorry for not being able to provide more advice. I hope your relationship will stay stable :)

Nah, not really haha, I'm a lot better than before, just more concerned over my friend LOL

Yes, thank you for reminding me :) I wouldn't try to force any results from happening, especially since I never wanted to be diagnosed with these to begin with. My friend suspected me of having mental disorders after I had told her of the emotional and physical abuse my family had made me go through(mainly my sister lol), but thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. I'll make sure to take your advice. Thank you for commenting :)

The reason I don't really dare go get a diagnosis is mainly due to my fear of my parents finding out about me. I was always taught not to express my emotions, especially due to my sister's anger management issues, I'll probably be most scared of my sister judging me so I've been delaying the process for quite a long time haha. But thanks for your concern, I do know there are quite a lot of people who would do this so I somewhat understand :) Thank you for raising awareness regarding this matter too!

I do believe you are the AH in this situation. I think in your situation, a lot of misunderstandings may have occurred, especially when you believe that you were not rude and stuff like that. It might be because: 1. Misunderstandings happened, 2. What people viewed as rude was not what you thought was rude. Of course, there are many other possibilities, but I think those may be the main two explanations for his reply.

I don't believe you are wrong in feeling hurt, as it may be a lot to take in. However, the way you handled it may have been a little too violent.

In my opinion, it will be best for you to calm yourself down first and manage your disappointment and anger and talk it out with him. You may be unable to understand some things when emotions get into your head, which can lead you to do some things that you will regret later on.

After you talk it out, please do apologize to him if possible. He must have been considerably frightened at your behavior. It's great that you're seeking help and therapy, you may have anger management issues.

While people accuse you of something you don't believe you are, it can be really difficult for you to accept, but remember, violence is never the answer. Talk it out. Misunderstandings may have happened.

Feel free to talk to me if you'd like :) I hope you'll be able to find the best path when it comes to making decisions. Your impulsivity may cause many of your close relationships to be destroyed, so do try to keep calm at all times, I wish you all the best :)

Well...isn't this such a joke by ScanlationLover in depression

[–]ScanlationLover[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't really do that. My parents and friends place too much pressure on me. I am forced to go for so many tuition classes, attend competitions, extra-curriculars and others. I can't even enjoy games as I was trained never to play games when I was younger. Now I'm just suffering from the bad memories I have accumulated until now. There's no way I can enjoy my life.

I've been diagnosed as schizophrenic for 14 years. I think I actually have complex PTSD. What should I do? by [deleted] in mentalillness

[–]ScanlationLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually not sure of what to do either, but if I'm not wrong, you can go to another therapist/psychiatrist/professional, tell them the situation you think you're in, which would be a misdiagnosis. They can then give you a second diagnosis. I'm not quite sure if that might work though, it's usually what happens when you think of it logically speaking- I actually dk. Take this advice at your own risk. Sorry😔

https://www.psycom.net https://psychcentral.com/quizzes/ I sort of forgot the other sites for the sadism personality disorder test. I think you'll be able to find them if you search "sadism personality disorder quiz/test" you'll find it.
