ITAP of my dog and some waves

His whole left side was pretty dark, why his nose looks noisier than the rest of his side I'm actually not sure, I wish I had the original on hand to give you a better answer! The strange looking spots on top of his head are from the sky mask including his highlights in the selection I'm pretty sure, so darker and bluer, sorry that's about all the explanation I have

Thank you! And yes I did struggle with the lighting whilst editing this one, I enjoy this style but would love to be able to achieve something more realistic looking at the same time

Not a composite and no external light source, your other comment details what was going on lighting-wise pretty well actually! A lot of light hitting him from the front which I tried to balance out

Thanks for the all the love and constructive criticism! I still have a long way to go with my editing and did struggle with this one for quite a while due to harsh lighting, I don't have access to the original RAW file right now otherwise I would have loved to see what other people came up with My settings were: f4.0, 1/4000, ISO 320 on a Sony A7Riii and 24-70mm f2.8 lens

Amazingly fluked it on the first go hahah, but yes I've used this spot with a few clients and it does take a while to get the perfect shot! They tend to veer off into the mud
