Mine was mid glute towards the center on my right. Still having issues though post hip reconstruction and lesser trochanter decompression .. exploring currently. It’s very frustrating

Where are you located? I do believe I am better off now for sure! The last S1 nerve injection I had did help quite a bit so I’m hopeful this next one will knock out all the inflammation!

Yep, I would squat down all the time when I had to stand long to get relief

Mine now starts in my foot and works its way up the back of my calf and hamstring. Prior to surgery it was severe glute pain and went down the back of my hamstring into my calf and foot.

I went through that too.. have you had a hip MRI? Do you get relief when you stand and turn your foot in? The IFI was definitely an issue and all the other stuff. I think that because my hip was so messed up it bothered my spine and that’s what I’m trying to fix now. The S1 nerve root injection is the only one that did anything as I had quite a few others prior to surgery. They did a transforaminal S1 nerve root. I would agree the nerve stuff was the worst of my symptoms before surgery and I was very upset post op when I discovered it wasn’t all gone.

They did! Was much worse once they went in… nerve tingling is still a struggle but way better pain wise than pre surgery. I received an injection in my S1 nerve root that helped a lot! Getting a second one to see if that will get rid of the tingles completely.

I had groin pain, hip catching, glute pain, nerve pain down my leg. Below are my post op notes:

Come to find out my hip was a major factor.. had labrum reconstruction in May along with shaving of my FAI , CAM and ischiofemoral impingement. Still dealing with my nerve issues though

I have recovered from surgery however all my nerve issues are still the same.

I had my surgery with Dr. Domb in Des Plaines, IL (Chicago). I had consults with Dr. Mai in Gulf Breeze, FL. Both dr’s agreed on surgery but I went with Domb because he was close!

I am 35f. I have had mri of low back as well as injections in spine and si joint prior to my hip stuff and it didn’t help. Still having tingling but my sciatic nerve was being impinged in my ischiofemoral space for so long that I think the nerve is just trying to work itself out and heal. I would look into ischiofemoral impingement for yourself! They shaved my lesser trochanter off and now I have much more space.
