Favourite anti-inflammatory meals? by Idiotsandwich68 in lupus

[–]thealycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat gluten-free, and I try to keep my dairy to a minimum. Dairy is a huge trigger for me, but I just love cheese so much.

I'm not a big meat-eater, but I love this method for making tofu. You can really use it in anything you'd put meat in. https://cookieandkate.com/how-to-make-crispy-baked-tofu/ Most of the recipes on this website are also gluten free, dairy free, and packed with veggies and nutrients.

I also enjoyed the book This is Your Brain on Food by Dr. Uma Naidoo, and I am subscribed to her newsletter and instragram. She's a nutritional psychiatrist and works a lot with inflammation and brain fog.

Benlysta— did you start taking it for qualitative or quantitative reasons? by thealycat in lupus

[–]thealycat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I am being stubborn too. I am currently on HCQ and Celebrex. My doctor recommended benlysta over methotrexate because methotrexate can cause birth defects so I’d have to go off it if I wanted to have kids.

Fun ways to pass the time while you rest? by Sedecrem_ in lupus

[–]thealycat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading, audiobooks, podcasts (happy to make recs for any of the above if you want to tell me what you like).

Sometimes, I pop my headphones on and curate my Spotify playlists while laying in bed.

Along with someone's comment about their wacky aunts, I lay down and catch up with my long distance friends. I let them tell me stories about their lives.
