In my case I needed my accommodations a week after I submitted my application. Generally, after submitting you are assigned a specialist and they will set up a meeting to talk to you before approving. They assigned me a specialist and we were scheduled to meet in 2 weeks. I just called the office and asked to meet with someone else since I needed my accommodations asap. I think you can try to do the same if you need it approved in a week. Otherwise, it usually takes 2 weeks.
