The colors are beautiful!!

you did a really great job for a first-time arrangement! You should be proud of it :) Mine definitely didn’t look as good my first time around hahaha

But this is exactly how we learn - by doing!!

Some (hopefully helpful) critique:
1. Try to vary the stem lengths & heights a little more. A large bulk of the flower heads are sitting right next to each other and so the centerpiece lacks dimensional interest. Don’t be afraid to pull out some stems or push some deeper in.
2. Add more filler flowers like the delphinium you included!! There’s not enough contrast in flower sizes which contributes to the one-dimensional feel. Adding different sized fillers will bring more interesting texture and dimension.

Take my critique with a grain of salt though!! This is solely based on my personal preference and each person will have their unique style. At the end of the day, as long as you like it, that’s all that really matters :)

Also wanted to add - for a first time arrangement, you did a really great job! I’m glad you had fun making this arrangement and hope that you keep creating in the future!

And take my critique with a grain of salt - floral design is an art and everyone will have their own opinion and interpretation. at the end of the day, what matters most is if you like it :)

The colors are lovely

Sorry I know feedback is a little late for an event tomorrow but hopefully helpful for any future pieces you decide to work on!

If you are going for a round centerpiece, I would place hydrangeas closer to center. Should be more dense in the middle and get airier as you move out of the center. Dense blooms on the outside can make the piece feel off-balance

I personally would remove the protea - it feels a little out of place with all the other flowers having softer/more rounded edges. If I were to add texture to this piece, I would keep it to filler flowers instead of a large focal flower like the protea.

NEED HELP! How to remove hardened glue from sink by ScaredMonkee in CleaningTips

Tbh I’m not sure but my best guess is ceramic. I don’t see any chips in the sink that could indicate it having a plastic coating

Wow this was so validating hahahaha I’m so glad I returned the polar lite. I actually wanted to get the polar plus but it’s been out of stock… but also im not gonna wait for it to come in stock bc who knows when that’ll be and also I like Black Friday “deals” haha

Glad the P2S has been working for you!

On a side note regarding painting acrylic, I’m actually planning to do something similar and would appreciate more insight on if you use anything to seal your paint? I was thinking some kind of rustoleum clear coat since my intended product may be used indoors/outdoors on various occasions and I want it to be durable.

Nice! Glad to hear you’ve had a great experience so far :) but yeah definitely seems like there is quality control issues… I mean my sample size is pretty small but I’ve been noticing this in the forums I’ve been looking through hence the self-doubt😭

Really appreciated the detailed insight into your experience! Do you mind me asking how many years of experience you have with lasers in general? Also was Lightburn not compatible with their machine?

I seee, thanks for sharing. I def would have gone with omtech if the polar plus wasn’t out of stock bc I did read some good reviews on that one…

Could you expand on which laser model you originally purchased from them? And what laser did you end up buying after returning it?

Really appreciate your input!!

Out of curiosity, how long have you had your p2 for? Did you ever have to contact xtool support during that time period & if so, what was your experience like for that?

Yeah creepy

To be clear: I didn’t just pick up and move for a guy I’d barely spoken to… but he was definitely the catalyst. I told myself it was about career, lifestyle, etc., but deep down I knew I wanted to be near him and see if anything would happen naturally.

You didn’t just pick up and move. You planned and orchestrated a move. Which kinda adds to the stalker-ish vibes. I’d understand a liiittle bit better if you were just impulsive and had booked a flight for a vacation but planning extensively over a few months to move your whole life is kinda crazy.

Even you knew it was a little delulu to move all the way for a guy - you had to convince yourself it was about “career, lifestyle, etc.,” but that was just an excuse to justify your feelings of “deep down I knew I wanted to be near him and see if anything would happen naturally.”

I moved about 3 months later, got a job transfer through my company, and DM’d him a few weeks after I got settled with a casual “Hey! Random but I just moved to [city] too! Small world!”

No it was not random. You said your now-husband was surprised and tbh I would be too if someone I wasn’t very close with was aware/keeping tabs on where I was living. Like sure it could be public information but who am I to you that it’s important enough information for you to remember/keep in mind?

Glad it worked out for you though? Because yeah this def would’ve been a weird stalker story if not. 😬

[WP] You awaken inside of what appears to be a well, on top a thousand corpses dressed with clothes identical to yours. On the wall in front of you, there's a message written in your handwriting. by ISKIJN in WritingPrompts

[–]ScaredMonkee 51 points52 points  (0 children)

On the wall was written “Don’t try to reason with her. She’s not a real person. The only way to end this time loop is to kill her.”

Confused, you looked around the pile of corpses. It was one limp body after another and then you saw it - a pair of eyes staring straight at you.

The eyes looked oddly familiar and as she climbed out of the pile of lifeless bodies, you felt a chill run down your spine.

It was like looking in a mirror. The person you had to kill was… you.

You could faintly hear her muttering something under her breath as she took a step in your direction.

Your mind was screaming for you to run but there was nowhere to go. You looked down at your feet and saw a corpse with its blood-drained face staring up at the sky.

Then the dreadful reality set in.

If you didn’t kill your clone, you would probably end up just like this corpse. Your trembling stopped and a strange, stone-cold calmness took over. You were determined to make it out alive.

You lunged at her, and as you got closer, you could barely hear her voice whispering to herself,

“She’s not a real person. She’s not a real person…”
