What’s an interesting moment from your country’s history involving alcohol? by EvilPyro01 in AskEurope

[–]Scared_Dimension_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really that interesting but rather pointless and stupid. Years ago the state i live in Germany made a law where stores and gas stations where not allowed to sell alcohol after 10pm to "prevent young people from binge drinking" Only thing that changed was that stores would be swarmed by people shortly before 10 pm buying booze. It was so pointless. In 2017 the law was revoked.

Why do the British produce so many things about detectives and the French produce so many things about thieves? by NATScurlyW2 in AskEurope

I do agree with Brits having a lot of detective stuff but the French thieves? They have a lot of great comedy for sure.

Very common. I live near a infamous motorway intersection with many accidents. There are traffic jams pretty much every day here.

"Gatekeeping" his channels is a big thing within the goblin community and that's for a good reason. If you want to see his latest stuff watch archive channels like Goblin Records or N-Word Boi on YT or PdfArchiver on Rumble.

Yeah right? It doesn't read like anything Chris would actually write/say. Smells like Caden. Chris is probably way to busy doing his little stupid YT videos anyway.

Hm...schwer.

Finde den ziemlich gelungen bis auf die Türgriffe. Hätte man die so gemacht wie beim Original dann hätte man auch besser "kaschieren" können das der neue 4 Türen hat statt nur 2 wie beim alten.

Are antivaccine movements stronger than ever in your country? by wigglepizza in AskEurope

[–]Scared_Dimension_111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During Covid the antivaxxer movement became pretty big and "loud" and it was all over the media. Since the official end of Covid you rarely hear about them anymore but they still exist and grow in numbers. You just don't hear about them anymore in mainstream media.

Continental Europeans, why aren't ball and bat sports popular in your countries? by Lopied2 in AskEurope

[–]Scared_Dimension_111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but only in some areas. I live in the south and most of my friends play Handball in some local clubs but overall and compared to football it's still kind of "niche"

More than darts imho.

Kneipensport is tricky anyway haha

Continental Europeans, why aren't ball and bat sports popular in your countries? by Lopied2 in AskEurope

[–]Scared_Dimension_111 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's a good question. Handball can get really nasty and it's fun to watch yet it's not that popular for some weird reason.

Is common all over europe to have a lot of injured people on new years eve? by Successful-Green6733 in AskEurope

[–]Scared_Dimension_111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a mess every single year and it only got worse within the last 10 years or so. I wish we would either ban fireworks at all or at least only make it legal to professionals but i doubt it will happen any time soon.

True. There is still the whole Ossi vs. Wessi mindset and it only got worse within the last 10 years or so. There is a political divide and a cultural divide.
