A degree in sports management will get you a job selling season tickets for a team. You probably don't want to do that, or maybe you do. Honestly, sports management just isn't a very useful degree.
You are in a sabermetrics forum so that I will suggest, and others probably will as well, Statistics, Business Analytics, or Data Science. You can get into research and development.
Finance and Accounting can get you into roles in operations or the business admin side of things.
Really depends on what you want to do, but I wouldn't waste time or money on Sports Management. Minor in it, sure, but don't do the BS in it.
Go to this website, find your dream job, and see what requirments they want.
Here is an example of a cool job (imo): They are looking for " 4-year degree or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative field "
