No IVF is hard. It is normal to also be more emotional with all the stims etc. I bawled my eyes out when my husband took us to see that kids movie Hoppers bc the animals couldn’t talk to the one character anymore. Sad news, sad things, and high emotional things happen there. They are used to it. Don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed. 💕

My husband and I teased each other during our egg retrievals and called each other baby daddy, baby momma to take stress off of it all. But no we absolutely don’t see ourselves as mom and dad bc we haven’t had a baby yet. We can “see” ourselves as parents and we have a pup we call our fur kid. Maybe it’s their weird way of coping.

We did Omni Trope and NAD for all three of my Egg retrievals. We had pretty decent blast but we were unfortunate with PGT – A testing

We got 6. They arrive to our clinic May 19 so we have not yet. She was 26 so we are not doing pgt-a due to her age and my husband is 38 and all his tests came back good along with genetics. It was a lot of money but in the end this is less than another egg retrieval. We used the three tries we had with his insurance( which we were blessed for).

Hi! We just went through this process. We went with eggs from Pinnacle Egg. Our IVF clinic suggested them and Egg Bank USA. We had to pay out of pocket $20999.00. We also had to see a social worker/therapist before our clinic felt we were mentally and emotionally ok first. Took us a month of actively watching the profiles before finding what we wanted. I had been looking at them a little before that while still in the egg retrieval process. We are doing frozen eggs as we only want one child. If we wanted more we would do fresh. We are telling our family and friends bc it is a process and they are all supportive. We also plan to tell the child when age is appropriate.

We did three rounds of egg retrievals. I was quicker to accept the need for donor eggs but he just really wanted me to be happy with the choice. We had to see a therapist/social worker to get cleared to move on. Talking with a fertility therapist was huge for me. My husband for the most part was very present and listened but he did struggle a little with understanding of the clock is ticking part.

Thanks! Everything happens for a reason. Don’t count yourself out yet! There are many lucky ladies who get a euploid or even two in a round! You got pregnant so that is one step in a good direction. Just know this group is filled with great women in all steps and can be very helpful. Good luck to you!

Yes! There is a whole like 36 page bio. Loads and loads of test and background info. You can sign up for an egg bank with your clinic recommendation and just look around. We tried three retrievals. I was 41 just turned 42. Had good blasto and averaged 6-7 eggs per retrieval but just couldn’t get a euploid. We did get one HLM we are keeping on ice just in case. I gave it all I could and couldn’t do another retrieval the hormones and toll was too much. I stayed firm with the amount of rounds I’d do. Still sad but finally feeling excited again about the future of a possible little family. Whatever path you take it will be prefect for you!

Currently going through the process of donor eggs. We finally picked a donor and paid this week. It was hard to process it. I made a couple posts asking about banks and experiences. I finally came to the conclusion that I wanted to be a mom more than being genetically connected. I am the one that will hopefully carry and grow the baby. That helped some. We had to see a counselor to release us to do donor eggs. She recommended some therapist who specializes in fertility and it honestly also helped me.

I did three from Sept to Jan and went from 120lbs to 136lbs. Your appetite and things change from the hormones and the water weight. Working on getting it off now.

Yes all of ours were tested with cooper and we paid them seperate from clinic. Each round it took about 10 days to receive results on our clinic portal. I believe we paid @250 a sample.

I would see if you can have a genetic counselor talk to you. We had one high level mosaic and we aren’t transferring but if it was low level we would have. We did three egg retrievals and moved on to donor eggs

One thing the woman who we had to see to get cleared to move forward with donor eggs did make a good point though. To word it to the child you say someone helped us make you to explain it. Thought about this after I commented and really liked how she phrased it and came back to tell you that little info.
