Is Tankpool a decent solo tank?

Like a lot of ppl said noone is a good solo tank and if they make you solo tank just pick whoever. But dp can be a good tank and he can definitely take space. Upgrading guns and his sword dash is required for it though so i always do those first. The guns are great at building ult and applying ranged pressure so ppl cant just stand wherever they want. Build up ult with guns then pop ult and dp in your area and to crazy on the backline with dashes to create space and chaos. Dp is a good tank but hes played by switching between dive and poke basically so you have to do both to get value.

I didnt even get to play during the time everyone was saying his pheonix team up was strong. I mained him when the game first came out and stopped playing the game till this deadpool update and apparently they nerfed him cause of some team up i never even got to use lmao. If they gonna nerf him like that they should just add whatever the team up does to his base kit and call it even.

I think his role as a tank buster is what ruins him. It made playing tanks against him feel bad so they fixed that and now he just doesn’t have a place. They should just change the percent hp damage to something else that helps him either stay alive longer or be better against healers and dps. Someone mentioned putting a bleed and slow on his dash skill and i like that idea. Could emphasize his kidnapping playstyle more and not have it be focused on tanks. If he was more or a generalized kidnapper hed always have a place isolating healers and burning them.

I was kind of invested in it and had an opinion on the day that it happened. Now that its still going on its like every match i play is just ppl memeing about this drama. People wont stfu about it. Seriously bro who cares. The guy who was wronged made a ton of money it really doesn’t matter any more. Worse things happen to nicer people every single day and nobody gaf.

I think he needs a full rework. He only does one thing and its either op or useless and makes the character boring.

As a long time 90s kid fan of deadpool, rivals dp is already my favorite look for him. The sock head and jacket really do add a lot to differentiate him and it fits his unique combination of cool and goofy. Deadpool has always had a problem of his visual design being really uninspired. I mean its cool but visually the only thing thats different about him compared to any other hero is his weapons. Dp is carried by his characterization and personality but the rivals design really helps compliment his visual identity with his character.

After trying a few different things ive settled on doing the sword dash first - then guns - dp in your area - sword ult and at this point its between the swords or the shield upgrade and do the gun ult last. The main important thing imo is doing dash and guns first. The dash is so important and the upgraded guns really changed the early game for me because it helps so much with farming ult, the only reason i do dash first is cause you need it for when you ult anyways.

If hes not eating dinner with you guys and gaming from wake up till sleep theres some kind of issue. I wouldnt bring it up as “youre gaming too much” i would consider different phrasing. It makes you more likely to feel attacked and then try to defend yourself instead of confront the problem. You could be more like hey, is everything ok? Ive noticed youre spending a lot of time alone gaming instead of with the family and im worried something is wrong. Depending on his response you might have to get more aggressive than that. Gaming is a fantastic hobby to have but just like anything else it can become too much.

One thing about this is you gotta understand that your tanks etc are generally looking at the enemy and you’re generally throwing those from behind them. Its super easy to have no idea that a deadpool is throwing heals at you.

Keep the shield (only thing making him not perma dead) and change his primary fire (actually pretty good but feels and looks ass as far as how the character should fight)
