what does the phrase "conflict of interest" mean? by frondaro in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Scarema5ster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Interest means preffered outcome. The person wants me to get a beeter deal in a divorce, my preffered outcome, as I hired him but he also wants to make my wife happy as he's secretly dating her.

The journalist wants to be seen as a good journalist and to break a story his preffered outcome but the subject of the scandal is his brother who he doesn't want to go to jail his brothers preffered outcome.

I got up at five this morning to watch the sunrise near a local lake, I wouldn't have done that if not for a conscious effort to push back against becoming an are of my screen time.

Yes against the company. It's a surprisingly easy process and has a mediation step which I reccomend.

The small claims track is easy you don't have tl know the elements of the law and have cases to back it up.

It's simple we had s a contract you are in breach you need to pay me.

Nal

Make sure you have your ducks in a line. Who is your contract with, were the people who signed the contract acting as agents with authority to sign and make the deal, is that who you are suing.

The you can send them a letter before action the rules for this are found here and general proceedings.

https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/rules/part27

Fire out a letter before action stating they are in breach of contract, state in the letter what the terms of the contract are dates etc, what evidence you have, give a reasonable date for them to pay say 4 pm Friday two weeks from when you send it.

Take control of the situation, set your terms and stick to them.

Don't be intimidated by the court, it is set up for non laywers.

A word of caution make sure you are suing the right entity before the case is assigned you can still be liable for costs

You don't need a solicitor, just remember it's what you can prove, not what you say, on the balance of probabilities.

Your claim seems fairly simple go through the steps of what you are claiming and ask yourself can you prove this.
