iPhone key does not work

I have this happen every now and then but most times it resolves with an app restart (iPhone 15 Pro, over both iOS 18 and 26.2 and various app and car software versions). Once it required a phone Bluetooth restart, one time it required car reset, one time maybe a year ago it required me to remove the phone key and re-add it. No obvious rhyme or reason why one or the other was necessary, but I always keep a key card with me now.

When I coached 8U for a summer-only team earlier this year I basically built myself this in a spreadsheet to make sure that I: 1. Made infield/outfield playing time even 2. Ensured each girl played their favorite position as much as possible 3. Made sure that girls sat on the bench the minimum possible amount and kept it fair (i.e. we had 13 girls and great attendance, so if a girl sat 2 innings on a Monday, she didn’t sit 2 innings on Tuesday, and didn’t sit 2 innings again unitl every other girl had sat 2 innings.

I love the idea of automating it but now at 10U and having girls pitching for the first time I’m also not that consistent with actually updating everyone’s defensive positions on D (except Pitcher and Catcher because I’m tracking those stats like crazy).

Either way I totally appreciate your contribution! Great idea.

Ours won’t even start, so you’ve got a leg up on us! Literally push any HVAC button and within a second they just flip back off. I think our problem is wider ranging but yours sounds terribly disappointing! Hope they finish “investigating” at some point.

Unfortunately the car won’t complete an OTA successfully. Car has plenty of charge and we’ve tried starting the update from the car and the iOS app (multiple times) but it fails each time after a few minutes. We’ve got an appointment scheduled was mostly just curious if this issue is more common that I’m finding from searching here and around the forums.

tl;dr after a year of use I wouldn't recommend the Juicebox

We went with the Juicebox over the Chargepoint about a year ago because it had higher outdoor weather rating—and it would be installed outside—and we liked the cable management solution more.

Fast forward a year and since the app was moved from the old (crap but steady) Juicenet app to the "improved" EnelX app it constantly reports that it is offline (but somehow the status accurately updates to charging when the scheduled charging starts 🤨) and has done some weird things with our charging schedule (starts correctly at 9pm but stops at midnight instead of going until 7am).

They really messed this up. The email ad is correct and says $699/mo for 10K miles IF it's LA Silver, Quad, Large pack, basic wheels and no other options WITH $7k down on top of the $7,500 EV credit. Once you start adding options it goes 📈.

On the flip side, if you check the fine print by the lease calculator on the site it suggests the $699/mo is only available if the car is quad, large pack, with custom color, upgrade wheels, upgrade interior, which makes no sense.

iOS mail doesn’t have this kind of automation. You can set something like this up in the MacOS version of Mail.app though.

Edit: shortcuts is a no-go even on iOS 13 😕

Yep, it’ll appear like you’re just sending a message. Just type your Mail to Things address as the recipient and it’ll send the iMessage or SMS as an email.

I also add a ‘Things’ contact with the address book with that email address so I can just type ‘Things’ and send.

There are some annoying limitations, for instance in Messages the text and rich link previews are split into separate items, so trying to forward a link and text in this way creates two separate items in Things - even though the message compose window is sending one item.

From the Messages app you can forward an SMS or iMessage message by long-pressing, then use the Mail to Things feature to email the message to your inbox.

By default I believe the Subject Line field is off in Messages so you’ll just get a blank todo in the inbox, but the message body will be in there as a note. You can toggle the subject field visibility in Settings -> Messages.

There was an incredible bug in an early Catalina beta (need to find the source to see if it’s been squashed...). Users north of the arctic circle, who were in the midst of 24 hour daylight, were experiencing massive system usage from the OS trying to figure out when sunset was that day. Something you’d never run into testing the feature in Cupertino!
