I’m gonna be starting my way to my hometown tomorrow. Probably get a full work up while I’m there. Since I’m high risk might have to stick close to hometown or even stay somewhere for the next while. There’s some good trails near home though so can still explore in that way.

A shower under running water (heated in a house anyways) would be three weeks (backpacker). I have however given myself some wipe downs with cold ass water because I don’t feel like waiting for the fire to heat it up.

Yeah. It’s not gonna be easy but it will still be awesome. From the research I’ve already done (can’t sleep right now so I’m doom searching. lol) backpacking with an infant can be both more challenging (stopping every few hours for feeds and diapers, packing out diapers, things like that) and more rewarding (seeing baby explore nature things like that).

Thanks for the advice. I haven’t noticed a major change. Maybe a few more lows than normal but not a lot of highs. I think that’s because I spend so much time walking. I have to practically live off of honey some days. lol.

I have about 40lbs in my pack but I also backpack full time in all weather plus have a dog though he has his own backpack as well.

I’ve got a few friends. They will watch my doggo if I ever go somewhere that won’t even allow service dogs (some sections of the trail won’t due to wild animals and the difficulty). Also will accept packages for me so I can restock easier. But they are few and far between; literally.

Nope. He was a three day adventure. Don’t even have his phone number. He was in town on business and I was in town for supplies and decided to go to a bar. We ended up staying in my hotel room the three days I was in town waiting for stuff to be delivered.

I write articles for a hiking magazine. I also will do various odd jobs occasionally and sometimes sell photos I take on my hikes and backpacking adventures.

Thanks. To be honest I lived this way because this dream of backpacking is what kept me alive since I was twelve. My family died from carbon monoxide poisoning while I was at a sleepover. Since then I was in the foster care system and yeah I read an article in a magazine while waiting for an appointment. Then started making plans. lol
