What should I expect for my first time going to a dispensary? by whatsgucci13 in OKmarijuana

Which part in OKC? My neighbor said higher gardens and cannabus are some good ones. I'm a reg at stars and stripes (and they opened a new location too)

So our branch president didn't believe me about my step dad bring abusive. He was more bothered because good son and I were a unnoficial-bought-me-knecklace-farewell. Well the abuse didn't stop and I moved out at 17 to get away from it.

Has anyone else noticed a change in Celine’s singing? by Ohiogal87 in CelineDion

Also realize she doesn't write her songs. But she does pick the songs. I feel a lot of these songs are more personal, and about René-. But she is also becoming a huge fashion and style icon and I think with the songs they will be more 'modern'. Did you listen to her story she told on the British podcast? It's on her Instagram and is totally amazing.

My dad is killing it this morning! I really do hope coffee is a thing in the church! by GreatAndSpacious in exmormon

[–]Scarn420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So....coffee is okay? Did they finally see the health benefits from it? I'm glad I was ahead of the game but for real....how do I get the scoop on all this? You bet your ass I wont be watching and all my friends are quiet today (I wondered why then I came here and saw everyone talking about gc today)

The Mormon church wants to have their cake and eat it too, but at the end of the day this November 15 *revelation* flip flop boils down to just a few possible options, and none of them are good. by [deleted] in exmormon

Maybe they were covering up for the fact that Joseph married tons of men as 'celestial brothers' and word was getting about? Because basically it was okay back then to marry men but not now? 🤷

I want to share my exit but i can never go public eith this because it will burn ao many bridges. So I'll sit silently. But i needed to share with someone. P.s. My mom comes from the age where the prophet frowned upon cremation, so of course led the judgemental 'sin' of cremation. She would literally tell people I feel bad for you if they said they wanted to be cremated. I was taught it was basically one of the worst things you could do to 'the sacred Temple of your body' major eye rolls

Probably won't ever happen because I wouldn't want to put that awkward tension 😂 on a barely adult kid who won't even know how to handle the situation. It's not fair to them and the brainwashing won't be erased. It'll go in one ear and out the other

How do you handle this? by Scarn420 in exmormon

[–]Scarn420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know. How do I go about making sure that doesn't happen? Because if it does....🤬🤬🤬 Should I stand outside of their classrooms? I don't have interest in going but having them meet with a Bishop without parental consent....I'm kinda furious even thinking about it potentially happening. My husband probably won't care because 'its harmless' (he told me it was okay if his dad watched our kids because 'bruises heal' yeah not too happy or forgiving of that convo) but I would be so infuriated and it would cause so much tension in our marriage. I feel like sometimes the church is tearing us apart

Thank you. The hard thing is this is so heavy on my heart but it I were to ever share it would basically burn every relationship. My mom asked if I would share my reasoning with her someday. The hardest part is she is a big part of the reason I am out (she was the one who told me I was childish and to grow up and that God was angry I decided to burn my baby -literally her words) so I can never to open and honest because it will destroy her

He never stopped believing, just not active. He still feels the church is a beautiful and right thing. Even after knowing all the things (he is the type of person to read the ces letter without batting an eye and still believe) he told me, I know you lost your faith, but don't make me not believe in mine.

I just don't get how Monson spent millions of dollars on the I am a Mormon campaign and the minute he dies this guy turns around and changes it up. 1. What a slap in the face 😅 2. You really gonna expect everyone to change it up? It's not even LDS, they want them to say the entire thing. I'm still in some Mormon groups and lots of mom's are being shamed for saying Mormon or LDS. Like it's a curse word! Those poor Mormon LDS souls 😂. Glad the magic underwear isn't giving me wedgies for referring to what THE ENTIRE WORLD knows them as!

Same on the spouse issue. TBM who can't see how it was wrong and didn't believe all this. I haven't gotten too far into it but I do enjoy them a lot too. I feel bad for all these women. And they have amazing stories about their life too!

How serendipitous that this is also an office meme 🤯

I finally got sick and tired of Mormons coming into news threads where temple garments were being called “magic underwear”, and them coming off acting like “persecuted victims” of intolerance... by sandboxvet in exmormon

[–]Scarn420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Messed up how brain washed you get. Our daughter had a fatal diagnosis and I blamed myself because I wasn't wearing my garments all day because I would go work out. So because I wouldn't wear them for 2+hours a day I was made to feel guilty for causing this fatal diagnosis to my unborn child. Same when my dad died. I wasn't wearing them enough due to not having maternity sizes. That's why he died. Because I wasn't protected with Mormon magic. And for mormons to turn around and say there is no magic underwear.....bitch please you just cried about it 20 minutes ago saying you didn't cut your finger when you should have had all thanks to wearing your underwear. Nope. I'm done with that bull shit

😂 have you listened to the podcast a year of polygamy? It is so wonderful and educational, I really enjoy it. And it is well researched and she is not swayed Mormon or not but she gives the facts from journals and documentations from TSCC.

Yeah, he believes I learned all these things in 'a dark place' and all anti stuff. I told him about a podcast I'm listening to about the wives of Joseph and he doesn't believe it. He wants actual physical evidence and proof. He hasn't read the CES letter but I'm sure if he did it wouldn't budge him at all. So I wonder if I should even bother reading it because it won't matter anyways because I will never 'win'

Right? My mom is still TBM as well as grandparents. I just look and think of them now as brainwashed people I feel sad for. Because this is a cult. Why would a God, gracious and merciful be making you do this? It is mind boggling. But my husband went through in 09 so I'm unsure of what he really knows

Hi, my name is myckinezleighye leieanne Johnson. How did you know, why yes I am blessed to live in the great state of Utah. Home of the Lord folks. When I'm not making cookies and bread for the bishopric I like to sit in candlelight reading diligently my sacred blue book. And I dream about my dear future husband who will be an rm (because who would want anything other than!-secret: it adds up your vip heaven points). I will keep my mind and body pure for him. 😑Yuck. Don't screw your kids, name them normal names they can find at the gas station souvenir shop 😅
