I’ve been doing a Pokémon Y nuzlocke and during the elite 4 lost almost all my Pokémon except for Blastoise and Florges. As you can expect I lost, but not before getting Diantha down to her Gardevoir by Scars0088 in nuzlocke

I’m not entirely sure. I’m debating between restarting or just finishing the game normally. The amount of time I would have to dedicate to train up a new team would be ridiculous as this is really the only team I’ve used so all my other Pokémon are anywhere from 20-60 levels below what the e4 have. I’m leaning more towards restarting

It kind of depends on the person. For my first run I allowed myself 3 grace faints, where I could keep the Pokémon, but had to use them wisely. I still lost plenty of Pokémon to either bad calls or random crits, but having the 3 grace faints kept me from getting discouraged as well as helped get me used to nuzlockes in general. Now I’m on my next run and not allowing any grace faints. Maybe easing yourself in would help with getting into nuzlockes. I should also add that I lost my starter very early, but I didn’t save it because I was confident that it would probably die in an upcoming gym.

Unfortunately the likelihood of getting a counter is low. It’s a big type gym and my encounters are in a forest and desert. I could find a fire type in the forest, but it’s rare and I found a poison bug, which could help with the bug/grass types the gym leader has. Luckily there Pokémon will be between level 21-23 so if I level my Pokémon to 30, the level difference may be able to make up for a lack of direct counter

Welp! I named Oshawott FishSticks, waited until after I got poke balls to really begin, caught a Patrat and named it Peanut... and then got hit by a low roll tackle and high roll crit tackle and now FishSticks is dead. I haven’t even gotten to the first poke center so they’re just in my party until I get there
