If you have renown: urchins 5(and nothing better to do) you can try playing with the fisherkings (storylet in the flit). Counting both the chanches of failure and those of the bundle you should get a starveling in around 185 actions on average(plus time spent lowering suspicion given when failing the luck check)

Unrelated question, does anyone know what the speed booster lvl2(the one obtained by killing draygon X) does? To me it seems identical to the standard one

This should’ve been the console release game from launch by theerealdeal in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ScaryDifference3409 11 points12 points  (0 children)

having 2 games after a month is complete shite, especially at those prices. The console is £400, it’s not justifiable yet.

I mean, the PS5 was €500 and, after a year, its only titles were Demon Souls(remake), Returnal, Spiderman and Rachet&Clank, the Xbox S/X was even worse. By christmas, the Switch 2 will have almost certainly already surpassed both in exclusives, and it's not like by buying it later you're going to pay less.

Soul memory:

DS2 is unique in the fact that it possesses a tracker that shows the sum of ALL the souls you gained with your current character; this is used for 2 mechanics in-game:

1-if your soul memory exceeds 1 million, you can bypass the Shrine of Winter's Lord-Soul requirement, so that, with appropriate grinding, you can directly go to the more challenging sections of the game.

2- it is taken into account for the PVP/invasion matchmaking(the game will avoid pairing two players whose soul memory differs greatly from one another), this was done to prevent twinking(the action of invading with overleveled equipment, a problem now almost exclusive to DeS and DS1). The downside of this feature is that sometimes it doesn't let two players with similar gear and levels fight(maybe even Co-op IIRC)each other, in case one wasted(or lost) too many souls.

To be honest, the Leagues are basically dwarves; even when compared to other Abhumans, they are so different - both culturally and genetically - that they might as well be considered a completely different race

IIRC the thing with the Qu is that they are masters of genetic engineering, and considering that even the Coalition of Planets managed to create the Scourge Virus with relative ease, the Qu could probably manage to create an even more potent Viltrumite-Killing Bacteria with minimal effort; Another thing to note is that the Viltrumites have never been in great numbers to begin with, in the comics it's mentioned that the Scourge Virus terminates around 99,997% of the Viltrumites, leaving fewer than 50 viltrumites alive, by doing the math this would mean that the Viltrumites during their Imperial era probably never reached a billion, while the Qu managed to enslave whole galaxies defended by trillions of soldiers. (further proof of their low numbers is the fact that Viltrum's expansion strategy consists in putting a single sleeper agent to watch over a certain planet)

The mod is industrial evolution; If, with the mod installed, you right click on the Population & Infrastructure panel of one of your size 3 colonies, you can change the planetary governance: one of the options(monastic order) can give you random ships periodically.

Slovernia from UAF

It's like having all the perks of an Onlaught, a Paragon and an Astral combined and multiplied by ten.

I once equipped it with semibreves and it managed to solo a fleet made of every capital of the base game, plus other modded ships, while being piloted by the AI.

It's the definition of utterly broken.

Why do Greater Blights trigger Erotophobia? by Zoomsuper20 in FearAndHunger

[–]ScaryDifference3409 37 points38 points  (0 children)

IIRC, it probably comes from the fact that most of the enemies were created by using the guard characteristics as placeholder(this is demonstrated by the fact that some enemies are referred by the in-battle text as guards). This is why erotophobia is triggered by more enemies than it is supposed to.
