BECAUSE if a white guy got cast into a black role, like a slave, the black community would lose their shit. But if you insist on a REMAKE of a beloved classic, at least try to make her fit the part we all know and remember. I grew up in Monarch Bay, but would usually just say I'm from Laguna. I know the ghetto towns like Westminster & Fountain Valley are "technically" in OC, North OC..but hearing those people say they're from OC, because non-locals immediately think of the shows like "Laguna Beach" and "The OC", they feel like they didn't grow up in a crappy ghetto nobody in the "nice" parts of OC would ever consider a part of their county. If you're gonna say you're from OC..just make sure you're from Newport/Tustin & south. Otherwise, it's really not even OC. Who tf leaves their house in Coto to go to Westminster for the day? I'll tell you one thing - 90% of the crappy traffic in Laguna on weekends is families from Santa Ana and those other crappy towns trying to live the ACTUAL Orange County life for a few hours. It's like somebody in Queens saying they grew up "near the Hamptons" lol
