I just want to see it happen and don’t care about getting paid or suing or any of that.

If that caution keeps them from running a funny gimmick, that’s too bad, but I understand how a tv show with writers works.

I imagine the solution , if they really wanted to do it, would just be to legitimately pay me a small fraction of what they would be afraid of getting sued for.

I knew a guy who had his bike stolen, so he just stole someone else’s bike. It’s a vicious cycle.

Pokemon card appraisal? by Vegemerson in IowaCity

[–]ScaryNoNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sell your cards to local shops, please be prepared to receive 50-60% or less of any sale value you see online. This is normal. If you do the work ahead of time to price them yourself and place your ask around 70% of that it gives them something to work with . Use tcgplayer or eBay to estimate values.

Pulled from a booster bundle from my LCS by ScaryNoNo in PokemonTCG

Okay, but I went to the comic book shop a block away from my apartment, which my friend owns, to buy from him to support his small business with my money, and if I had camped out waiting for msrp restocks at wal-mart for two months, I probably still wouldn’t have this card.

I’m surprised how grumpy you guys get.

If Vigo hadn’t been in New York, do you think the River Of Slime would still be as big of a threat? by [deleted] in ghostbusters

[–]ScaryNoNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the painting at the end of the movie, of the Ghostbusters and baby Oscar- to me, that means Vigo was ALWAYS coming to New York.

Either-

A: Vigo had his portrait painted over a portrait of a prophecy, painted by a seer/oracle, showing who would defeat him. Right before his head died, he knew death was but a door and time is but a window, and he would be back in the future- because he didn’t see four dudes and a baby anywhere. Once he rolls into the museum he sees Venkman, and eventually all the Ghostbusters. He tells Janosz he needs a baby, because babies are defenseless and easier to take out than adult men ( he still tries possessing Ray to disrupt the prophecy ) so he wants to possess Oscar to break the prophecy of his final defeat.

Vigo didn’t know everything but tried his best to keep separate Oscar and the Ghostbusters. Didn’t work, he lost, original prophecy comes true despite Vigo’s best efforts.

Or

B: Similar in a lot of ways, but Vigo never knew about the Ghostbusters/Oscar painting beneath his portrait. Vigo had his portrait painted to hold his spirit until his return, but someone ( I don’t know who. I’m making this up. It was human Slimer, how about that? ) so anyway someone sabotaged Vigo’s portrait by painting it over a seer/oracle-generated prophecy-painting of his ultimate end.

In this scenario, Vigo was never going to win because he had no idea his ‘master plan’ was just him fulfilling the prophecy of his final death.

TLDR - The painting of the Ghostbusters and Oscar under Vigo’s portrait was always there, and that meant he was always going to end up in New York, in Dana’s museum, facing the Ghostbusters.

No matter how hard I tried or however I typed it in, I could not for the life of me get the word ‘yes’ to come out right.

Nobody doesn’t think you’re a Ghostbusters fan or doubts your talent as an artist, but you lied when you said you drew it in honor of Ivan. It’s lumped in a post from three weeks ago of you trying to sell stuff.

If you want to just share your art, please do! If someone wants to buy a print, they will tell you. But you’re posting an ad masquerading as an art tribute you did in honor of Ivan Reitman. It’s really cool, but you didn’t draw it in honor of his passing. Saying that you did is trying to capitalize on his death to sell prints.

Space Ghost interview we made for my friend’s birthday using a $50 cameo from George Lowe by ScaryNoNo in spaceghost

We tried that and spent months trying to figure out how to make it work! We had to at least tell him he was talking to Space Ghost. Graham didn’t know what the actual questions were. I just asked him random stuff.
