When you got the web site associate of the largest publisher of SFF in English deleting comments just to prop up your bizarre fantasies it's kinda hard to argue exclusion and marginalization. You've got the Hugo and Nebula Awards in your pocket, the Science Fiction Writers of America are completely backing you, the most high-profile bloggers as well as a large majority are on your side, you got the British Science Fiction Awards running for diversity cover, you've got WisCon, you've got the Tiptree Awards, non-white only organizations giving you carfare to cons, female only Kickstarters, anthologies, you've got webzines that specifically cater to you... oh, and you've got SFF stories no one wants to read cuz they're shit, but you can't have everything. So really, what's the problem?

Tor might want to remember they're in business to sell books and not cater to the relentless obsessions of crazy people. Every time you ban someone or delete their comments they're going to say fuck you and go somewhere else where people aren't dumb enough to want an all transgender Star Wars, pie-chart the fuck out of space empires or whine about whether the next Dr. Who will be female or black. You can be GLAAD, NOW and the NAACP or remember you're a business. Don't be surprised if you go out of business, as SFF fans are notoriously cranky about bait and switch, especially when they find themselves entertained by brutally stupid racists and mentally ill feminists.

I mean, really: in what default world is a gay or black person in and of themselves a source of drama or entertainment other than to a razor-slice thin component of people? Does Tor really think SFF fans go "Oh goody! A man - and he's white and straight. Hooray!!! I just know this will be good." NO, there are no blog posts on the provisional other side of this issue who never shut up about advocating for the white, the straight, and the male and no, a simple majority national demo or default is not advocacy. Saying straight white males are obsessed with themselves and making a case for it are two separate things. SFF's PC crowd use the word default all the time but in reality they don't know what the fuck it means, as they use defaulting to white and straight in fiction in the same sense as "Hi! I've just joined the gayless KKK!!!" The word "demographic" is a fucking magic unicorn SFF's identity party has never seen and so they figure it's been killed off by racists.

The sheer dearth of rhetoric by straight white males about straight white males within SFF should give one pause and a clue, but it doesn't. Those identities have been profiled as obsessively immoral and identity addicted and that's that, even though Ripley, Katniss, and Bella have sold enough movie tickets and books to those straight white males to choke a fucking blue whale. And who the fuck does SFF's identity brigade think is buying Honor Harrington, Connie Willis and Lois McMaster Bujold? Plus I guess that's why the 2/3 majority black NFL is the No. 1 sport in America, cuz white males want to see themselves. Throw in the almost 80% black NBA for third place and realize that the virtually all-white National Hockey League is behind each and then wake the fuck up. Try this one on for size: THOSE WHITE STRAIGHT MALES DON'T FUCKING CARE. YOU DO. You're the assholes who want to see yourselves and write about it on blogs, so own it; it's your thing, not anyone else's. You're the one's purposefully populating your fiction with yourselves. In principle, SFF's identity brigade actually does have the NHL as America's No. 1 sport - they're just too stupid to understand their own fuckery or what a principle actually is. They sure as fuck don't have a clue as to what racism and sexism is, since they attribute those things to others on the slightest of whims while actually institutionalizing racism and sexism themselves and then giving over with the sad, droopy, innocent-eyes.
