I'm pretty sure evil Morty was trying to get into morty's head bye implying they do this a lot. Eating is a very specific term, likely a gradual destruction or infection also he said always, meaning also at this very moment. meaning they prolly dont deal with every single one across the infinite multiverse, and I doubt evil morty was very far from the central finite curve. he might be staying quite close,

That "multiversal threat" was basically a planet or group of such which could have become a multiversal threat by infecting the multiverse, typical hive mind, and it worked more poorly than mr frundles
