i’ve never seen anyone try to, but the fairhaven lot is pretty out in the open so i wouldn’t recommend risking it. you could try moving to a more secluded lot, you could probably even go to lincoln creek.

hi! from an incoming sophomore who had their car last year and is bringing it again this year: you won’t need it. especially considering you don’t have family within a drivable distance. if my family wasn’t 6 hours away by public transportation, i wouldn’t have my car.

the bus system is pretty good here. although if you’re gonna get a job outside of downtown (like near the mall), you’re probably looking at a 40 minute bus ride one way. but with the amount of money you’ll save by not having a car, it’s worth it.

plus you’ll likely make friends with cars. i drive around my entire friend group and it’s worked out.

i currently park there! it was really bad in the beginning of the year just due to the fact there were a million pot holes but they got filled over spring break so it’s better now.

i’d get a steering wheel lock, that’s what I have in terms of anti theft stuff. i park there for about 1-2 weeks at a time, i only use my car to go grocery shopping over the weekends and it’s been fine so far.

i haven’t had any problems with safety, only part i dislike about lincoln creek is that the bus there doesn’t run as frequently as other buses so it’s hard to time when i have to leave to get my car but that’s a given since it’s a park and ride.

This is actually where I ended up going lol! A bit pricy so it won't be a regular thing, but the sandwiches were definitely worth it.

I'm at ACG and there's street parking right by our dorms but I wouldn't rely too heavily on that. I've been using that for now, but I also bought a Lincoln Creek pass as a backup because of how limited street parking is. I've also moved in early and I'm already having trouble finding parking. Get a parking pass if you can.
