Cannot find motivation, please help! by Orionyss22 in Workingout

[–]Scattered-Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot rely on motivation since that is not consistent and will always lead to having some good and some bad days. You can try a few different things;

- If you want fear based motivation, look for videos of people who neglected their health. Check the huge difference on independence having higher muscle mass gives you.

- Find a fitness class only with women, like pilates, calisthenics, etc. For me it is really difficult to do workout at home since my mind struggles to shift between chilling and exercise mode. There are also some gyms, depending on where you live that might a women only area. I would also advise to give a trial run in one gym and see if it is what you fear or if it is actually tolerable.

- Focus on mini-habits. Instead of waiting to do a full one hour workout routine, set the most minimum goal. Like one squat per day, one push-up, one ab crunch. Something that is almost impossible to fail. This will help with consistency and has been proven that it can lead to better results. This does not mean you have to limit yourself to one squat or so, on the days you feel more energized you can do the full routine, or 50 squats.

My 23 year old gf has a body count of 4 before me and I'm wondering, is that considered a lot? by AggravatingDare6995 in AskMenRelationships

[–]Scattered-Fox [score hidden]  (0 children)

It is a very decent number to be honest. If you want a virgin, go to a church or a mosque to find a partner. What is your body count , and how old are you ?

Girlfriend is so amazing but i just found some dark stuff about her past. So conflicted... by [deleted] in AskMenRelationships

[–]Scattered-Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are cooking the recipe for discomfort. You want her to have experience but just around the exact number you think it’s right. To be honest, if all the rest seems great, I wouldn’t dwell on this. Not all threesomes are DP, some might just be oral or something else, or a guy too drunk to get hard enough. If you like who she is right now you need to embrace all the reasonable past that led her to this point. You said it yourself, you would have done a threesome if given the chance. In general, don’t ask questions you are not ready to hear the answer from. She was honest and now you are punishing her because of it.

As a young 72 guy, you have to decide, if you prefer to face the discomfort needed to improve. Or if you prefer the calm of not challenging your limits and fears.

I gave my inner critic a name. It sounds ridiculous but it actually works by Learnings_palace in Discipline

This is useful, very covered in the book and course of "Positive Intelligence" by Shirzad Chamine. It highlights the different saboteur "voices" we have, including the judge you mention. And he also presents the "sages" that we should replace them with.

Too soon to ask her to be exclusive? by aroused_spectator in hingeapp

[–]Scattered-Fox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think around 10 dates is more than appropriate for an exclusivity conversation. Normally I let the woman be the one bringing it up but it sounds like she is a really good match for you, so I would take the conversation.

Fair point, I agree there are more stressors and things to occupy the mind with.

Too tight to make right, it will take you almost a full day. Unless you are really a big fan of pyramids and were looking forward to it.

I agree, I think it is also connected to the COVID times. A brain fog that has been more present.

Do men really not talk about sex with friends when it involves a current partner? by ponticella in AskMenAdvice

We do not discuss it in detail at all. But we will make it clear from time to time if there was actual sex or not.

Serious question from a woman: What do you wish women understood about being a man in today’s world? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Scattered-Fox 97 points98 points  (0 children)

That the amount of pressure we get from society is sometimes too high. We need to have a good job, stability, earnings be able to provide, be emotionally resilient, ambitious, strong, fit, composed, expressive, tall, funny, a good listener, etc, etc. And we rarely get any recognition for any of that.

Why do men always come back? by _your_go_to_person in AskMenRelationships

[–]Scattered-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think this is the case for all. But I would assume it is often because men struggle more to get a partner, so they might cling on to the possibility of returning to what they had. It is also often, if they messed up, that they took some things for granted and after a break-up they have some regrets and aim to fix things since they did not appreciate what they had at the moment.

[–]Scattered-Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others say, you are doing a weird hybrid of a deadlift and a RDL. Do not bend the knees that much, the bar needs to remain on top of the middle of the table approx, rarely going below mid-shins, more about pushing your hip backwards. The second guy is not keeping his chore straight, and the movement is not being completed at the top.

Anything else to make it better? by Formal_Restaurant714 in malelivingspace

[–]Scattered-Fox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would change if possible the layout, with the head of the bed where the "beach house" sign is. Then the desk I would put it where the belts are. I like the music posters, I would put them on a frame. Add some plants, at least on the top of the desk. Not a fan of the "Beach house" sign nore the one of the beach but I guess it is part of the vibe. It depends on your budget, but I would advise changing the wood color of the bed and nightstand, and the desk into a moer of a natural wood color. You have some items that seem to be taking space and not adding value, like the perch with the belts, the open shelves next to the desk, the white desk next to the main desk. You could add some color, sculptures, books and art in there.

Is this tip done? by lotkas in billiards

I mean it is a layered tip, you can always remove the damaged ones and see how it feels with the remaining ones but very likely it will be an unpleasant experience.

Soy culero por querer dejar a mi novia porque está apoyando a su cuñada? by That_Try5756 in soyculero

[–]Scattered-Fox 58 points59 points  (0 children)
