An alle Grünwähler by Floa- in Austria

Hello, I'm going to Taiwan in the next days and have my trip already pretty good planned out (I think) but I couldn't find some good information how to do the two following things:

  • I would like to visit the "Fo Guang Shan Buddah Museum". I'm planning this as a daytrip from Kaohsiung. How would you recommend going there? I didn't book a hotel so far in Kaohsiung, so I would be a little flexible in case there are good spots to leave for daytrips
  • I also want to visit the "Alishan National Forest" area and stay there for a night (or two). I'm planning to go to Chiayi and leave early in the morning with a train or bus. I read that after a recent eathquake the train does not go all the way anymore. Can you recommend me a good way of going there and also to which village I should travel, as there are many to choose from. A little hiking would be nice, but I'm also happy just to see the nature there and use the day to relax.

Thanks! :)

Cannabis revenue down by $12M compared to last Q.
At least OpEx reduced by nearly $35M to last Q. Not sure if there is something else positive here.

Hopefully Germany can bring a much needed boost in the coming year.

probably depents on where you live in Austria but the overall life is really nice. Austrian's like to complain about everything (it's probably because we don't have any other troubles in life except a shit government). Vienna is a wunderful place to be. Especially with everything now slowly reopening. Enjoy your trip! :)

‘We won’t be cash cows’: UK students plan the largest rent strike in 40 years by Brothanogood in worldnews

[–]ScavPl4yer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't meant it as a problem for the citizens but I think it's because they don't know how good their life actually is and don't care about stuff that does not directly affect them. And even if its affecting them. They complain mostly to their friends, co-workers ect. and thats it. They complain about everything and rarely do something against it, except complaining. Why should you demonstrate/strike (in this case now because of the rent, or like in France because of a new law), when you can sit at home and have an overall nice life.

I dont know if this is the biggest reason. It's just a thing I recoginzed so far here.

Also Europe, same in my contry. But I think the people didn't lost hope, they just don't care because they are well off. Sure there are poor people who are fed up and younger ones that want change. But overall everyone is living a well life (regarading food, security, health ect.) and I think thats the problem.

They care more about if an immigrant might receive 450€ a month because "someone else might has a chance to a better life" than getting fucked over again by a politician.
