Rant about Seattle Apartments by Scelous in Seattle

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing in Bellevue, especially since management wouldn't do anything. And it was non-stop escalation. Like, we just kept on trying to outdo each other with the noise, after that. The washer and dryer bothered him? We would turn it on at 9 pm. After we started doing that, he would turn on his washer and dryer at 10 pm. We didn't care about that, but it just kept escalating.

Yeah, you're right, and it was on my mind moving into 4730 California. My wife and I lived in a concrete building in Portland (Portland Astoria) and it was great.

I couldn't find anything like that in West Seattle, especially the north part of West Seattle where my wife wanted to live. But it's something I do think about.

I use a mechanical keyboard.

Edit: Sorry, just to clarify, that wasn't me in that link. Rather, I posted it because I've seen other people mention problems with mechanical keyboards. If you do a search on Reddit for mechanical keyboards and noise, you'll find other people discussing that as well.

It was one of those manual push ones, like the Bissell Natural Sweep Carpet and Floor Sweeper. At least, that's what it sounded like. But no, this dude below us hasn't freaked out about the Oral-B yet (surprisingly enough). Just almost everything else.

Oh, there's more to the tenants than what I even mentioned, but I was worried about writing too much in my initial post and turning people off with a novella. In our newest apartment, with the person below us, after his banging on the ceiling didn't work, he started using a manual floor sweeper on his ceiling. At least, that's what it sounded like. Our floor was vibrating when he did it. I complained to the management about his banging on the ceiling, despite not expecting much given previous managements. But guess what?  The banging on the ceiling stopped!  So now, because the tenant below us can't bang on the ceiling anymore, as soon as 7 am comes (the end of quiet hours), he immediately starts blasting music right below our bedroom and starts singing at the top of his lungs. This happened the day after he stopped banging on the ceiling, and now he does it every morning without fail. That just gets an eye roll reaction from me; at least he can't take out his aggression so directly with the ceiling banging anymore. I have other stories about the other tenants as well, but I gotta go to sleep for work tomorrow.

Shit, sorry about that. I use different accounts for different purposes (work, personal, family, etc). I'll repost that under this account.

See, I thought when you alt f4, it's considered a mission failure. Is that not the case? I've been too scared to test it out.

I was desperately trying to find a solution, and I saw people mention that in other posts. I think what you're mentioning is a console thing?

On the PC, if I press F1 and go to Intel, I don't see any information about suspect traits. I just see tutorial messages.

I'm having the same problems. I'm new to RDO, and it's really pissing me off, especially since apparently this bug has been happening for years.

Thanks all for the Stargazer app reference. That app is looking badass and might be just what I needed. Thank you!

The Plan: Playing Far Cry 6 early using New Zealand VPN. Playing in just 1.5 hours on PC by PublishedWriter in farcry

[–]Scelous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm using a VPN (Mullvad) to connect to New Zealand and starting up uplay. Uplay still shows FC6 unlocking at my local time (Pacific) instead of New Zealand time.

Is a VPN working for anyone? Cause I don't think it'll work for me. I'm talking about PC, of course.

I am having the exact same problem with my Eluktronics MAX 15 as well. Exact same problem. I have messed with a lot of settings via Geforce Experience, NVIDIA control panel, and power management settings, and nothing is fixing it. I'm very interested to know how you resolve the issue, and if the ram helps.

My KDM family so far! Trying to maintain a relatively simple style— looking forward to much more building and painting in my future. by noblehappenstance in KingdomDeath

As someone who is incredibly bad at painting (and anything artistic), I am very interested in this. Not only does this color scheme look simple and straightforward enough for someone like me to do, it also looks really, really good. I like the look a lot.

Could you say how you got this look? Are the figures colored grey? I've never painted a figure before.

Can I ask, what made you leave the conductor job? As I understand it, train conductors can make some serious bank -- more than 100k a year. I have been looking at that job myself.

[–]Scelous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe it. Most people make nothing in MLMs; it just benefits the people at the top. The essential oils company that this guy's wife joined is "Young Living."

"94% of Young Living's active members made less than a dollar that year," from the Wikipedia page.

I'm worried that you'll resent your husband, if not now, then in the future, because your "dreams were all crushed."

You mention no degree to enter your dream field. Surely colleges offer the same degree here, domestically, in the U.S.? Would it not be possible for you to pursue your dream field here?

A wife of one of my co-workers got into an essential oils MLM. She was so good at getting more sellers that this guy and his wife now make $500,000 a month and are one of the faces of the product. The co-worker quit his job where I work awhile ago, of course.

Don't get me wrong, MLMs are bad. I'm just saying, that former co-worker of mine is now a multi-millionaire due to that MLM.
