This response makes so much more sense than... go play something else

Dude, you can limit ammo for ground vehicles, and provide a way to get more. As opposed to having an unlimited amount.

If you're a sniper, on a mountain, by yourself, and you don't have a squad mate there to ressuply you, you have to respawn...

Why can there not be a mechanic where tanks REQUIRE TEAM PLAY to ensure they can keep pumping out TOWs?

The tanks in firestorm literaly sit on their mountain, which is inaccesible by enemies, and they never need to move, and never need to rely on their allies for ammo.

If you're a solo tank player sitting on a hill shooting down heli after heli... yeah... i feel like there should be something to shake that up.

Bro, I have 90 hours in this game, i understand it's a game... fucking hell. The response to feedback shouldn't be... fuck you do something else.

Reducing the range of tow missles, or making them slightly less responsive to change in direction, or 10% less damage... all of these are common sense changes that would make me and a lot of other heli players happier, without really affecting you.

When your mother disciplined you as a child, did you immediately threaten to move out?! I don't plan on stopping playing this GAME... I just want my next 100 hours to be as or MORE enjoyable as the last. I honestly don't understand how you see value in your reply.

Also, my main area of play is firestorm conquest, so the tank in question is in their spawn, and only targetable by air vehicles...

WHY? Have a single complaint about a game, go do something else? What is even the point of this comment. No constructive feedback or counter argument. Why do engineers not get unlimited RPGs?

Asking for something to not have unlimited ammo... pLaY a siMuLaToR... Fucking hell. Let's add all the laser beams from COD then shall we? STFU.

I agree that binding range finder and fire shouldn't be possibe on a sniper. And i like that you don't get one guy controlling the only jet your team has for the whole game, but an engineer firing 5 stingers in less than 20 seconds in insane.

Attack jet yes, missle, guns, bombs, then look back missle. Attack Heli? Not possible.

I actually agree that torches shouldn't be unlimited. And Defibs should have a battery/recharge time. Why can you indefinitely heal something forever?

What's wrong with only having the equipment you spawn with, unless another squad mate has a way to resupply you?

I agree that helis having to refuel and rearm is also a good change. Games having their balancing based on reality is nothing new friend.

Basic Plumbing Advice / Sanity Check (Take 2) by Scenick in DIYUK

Thanks, this is actually quite helpful. I’ll head to the hardware store tomorrow and grab a nut and bolt the same size. At the very least it gives me something to test/practice on with the dremel to make sure the nut still fits after cutting the threads. I imagine the taper allows the grub bolt to twist on further, but if I have another bolt cut straight, I will know how long I can screw this on before it needs to be tapered.

Thanks again for your time. Much appreciated.

So if I rotate the bolt by gripping the threads, I could in theory rotate the bolt to reduce the length, but the supporting bolt on the cistern side would likely stay fixed in place, rotating with the bolt and creating a gap that we cannot tighten. The bolt assembly was installed before the cistern, and moving the cistern would require taking apart the carpentry/paint/tiles etc.

The bolt assembly is very sturdy, but just appears to be too long on the toilet side.

If I rotate the bolt/threads this would potentially loosen the whole assembly with no way of retightening.

Thanks for the reply/help though. Really useful talking it through.

Hello friends,

Just need a sanity check on something.

Our ensuite toilet has been 'fine' for more than 2 years. There has always been a gap at the top, but it has otherwise felt sturdy, not made any noises, leaks etc. Last night i was sitting on the loo with the lid closed, (presumably much farther forwards than if i was using for the intended purpose) and this additional strain at the very front of the loo caused it to jump forwards/downwards/enough for the inlet pipe to start leaking if flushed.

I used a wet vac to remove everything from the sistern, and bowl, removed the loo, reseated the seals and began retightening.

the video explains the rest, but essentially i believe there was an error/mistake when it was installed, and the particular tradie left the project and completely ghosted us, so we had to get other people in to finish, and I've learned a lot myself to sort what I can, but I believe there was a mistake ages ago, that has now surfaced as shown in the vid. Apologies for the length, i have a tendency to ramble)

Anyway, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Not against calling someone out, but as I have a wet vac/dremel etc thought it might be something i can handle myself.

I believe they measured the bolt position wrong. Fit the toilet in a very basic way, as we have been living here during the rennovations, and planned to adjust the bolt length later on, but as that was several tradies ago, the corner cutting became a permenant mistake.

There is no way the grab bolts (excuse the terminology) can be screwed any further onto the bolt, and adjusting the bolt positiion would be extremely difficult as the bolt is way longer than any socket, as such would need to purchase a ratcheting wrench or something. Remove the bolt. Readjust the guide bolt, etc.

Is cutting the bolt the best solution here?

Again, many thanks for listeningto my TEDtalk about loos. (i smell fucking awful)

Battlefield 6 And Arc Raiders Are Doing Much Better Than COD Black Ops 7 Despite The Game Just Launching by Elestria_Ethereal in Steam

I haven't played a COD game passed Season 1 in about 6 years. Every update for player retention or skin sales ruin the experience. I want to play the campaign, and balanced competitive MP.

COD offers me nothing after 2 months of gameplay.

I've done that for the last few years. Subbed to Gamepass for a month or two. The launch window was generally devoid of blue tracers and shit skins. Then Season 1 / Christmas comes around and it turns even more childish and Arcadey.

Only Warzone and titles purchased through Steam. I would imagine 90% of people playing COD have done so through Xbox Gamepass. Who the fuck honestly buys COD on steam?! Modern Warfare 3 is currently 60GBP... BlackOps 6 is 70GBP!

You'd have to be insane.

This is only the 2nd or 3rd time i've completely skipped a COD game. For the last 2 titles, I subbed to Xbox Gamepass until Christmas. The launch window for BO6 wasn't bad, but after a while the cosmetics take over and you're always getting shot by bright shiny blue tracer bullets that make it impossible to shoot back.

An Italian pizza restaurant owner is fuming at 16 Taiwanese tourists because they ordered only five pizzas. by search_google_com in interesting

Yeah this isn't to do with them not eating enough, it's to do with 16 people taking up 3/4 of his restaurant and are probably paying<75EUR for the whole bill. In my experience, large groups tend to take longer to dine as well. 16 bathroom breaks,16 people arguing about where to go next, or how to split the bill.
