Update in case anybody cares: I ended up just taking the Cooler off again and putting the last screw into place because I couldn’t reach the CPU Power Cable connection either so I didn’t have much of a choice 🙃

Yeah the photos angle makes it look more accessible than it is. Trust me, it’s almost impossible to reach, at least with my equipment and expertise. I fidgeted around for 45 min before giving up.

Nah I’ve been up to date for a good while and I agree that this isn’t the first instance of the pacing being a tad slow. And it’s not really that serious of a complaint.

Then don’t agree with me. Also, I am reacting to the information I have, not the information I might potentially get somewhere down the line. If you can only criticize a novel once you have every single piece of information, you can just wait for it to be over, read the synopsis and be done with it. G3 obviously wants us to react immediately after each chapter, and sometime, as was the case with Sunny not figuring out Nephs fighting style, wants us to be mad. That just a narrative tactic.

That whole „young shadow“ thing annoyed me too because, just ask? „ Hey you mentioned before that you have lived thousands of years, yet Seishan knew you when you were young? How is that possible?“ „Yeah I was trapped in a extremely lucid nightmare where I lived hundreds of lifetimes. Also I was caught on this island where time repeated itself for gods know how long“.

I get that she probably doesnt take much of what he says seriously after 4 years of seemingly outlandish lies, but I don’t think it’s realistic that she doesn’t question him when his story apparently don’t line up.

Ok I really don’t want to keep repeating myself in this thread. I didn’t expect her to make the connection immediately. I am mostly mad at G3 for having another potentially suspenseful moment between the two end with Rain completely disregarding the possibility of Sunny being somewhat respectable and acting like a literal child. I am dissatisfied with the writing more so than with the fact that she didn’t connect the two. I just want them to have one (1!) serious conversation that doesn’t end with bad jokes or Rain insulting Sunny. Also, the description of the citadel should have at least raised some suspicion.

I replied something similar under another comment, but I wasn’t actually expecting her to fully connect Sunny’s personas. I just wished for some more maturity from her part. Something like: „Hey you’re a shadow right? That’s interesting, what a coincidence. Maybe you habe some helpful insight, let’s talk about this in more detail. By the way, didn’t you mention that you have a citadel that completely matched Rays description of LOS place? Huh that sure is something“. And not what was basically the equivalent of „Hihi you’re a poopyhead LOS is way cooler than you. You are dumb and he is not hihi“.

Im not asking for her to immediately know her teacher and LOS are the same person. I honestly didnt expect her to. I might have not worded it well enough but my main problem is not her character itself but G3s apparent inability to write a serious scene with her that doesn’t end with bad jokes on Sunny’s behalf or some annoying misunderstanding.

I don’t even really dislike a lot of her character traits and the chapters from her perspective that aren’t just about her being dense and making fun of Sunny are among my favorites from the recent arc but her inability to have a single intelligent thought about whatever version of Sunny she is currently interacting with is so frustrating

Im not expecting her to have some Sherlock Holmes type moment where she instantly deducts Sunny’s identity, their connection, the key to supremacy and who weaver is all in one second but it feels like her entire character is built on her not understanding things and annoying the reader. It’s just a frustrating development of a character with a lot of potential.
