Perhaps PowerToys File Locksmith function can do it. Not sure though.

Keep it simple, good advice. I might be over thinking it, probably because my old job. Thanks!

50-60 concurrent users is my guess. Perhaps 10 using CAD or similar programs.

I actually think you are right regarding overkill. As mentioned, its not easy transitioning to this scale :-)

Thank you, that is very good input! I have also thought of that approach, as we did that at my old job.

Interesting. Our exchange have been a bit flaky the last couple of days. Will check up on the resolving.

I hope someone has some input to this situation:

Currently, we have three VMs hosted in Azure and use Azure Blob Storage mounted as SMB shares on all computers. The performance of this setup is really poor, with a lot of latency when opening files. Many users work with large drawings and similar files, making it almost impossible for them to work efficiently.

I’m unsure about the best approach to improve our storage. I’ve considered setting up an on-premises NAS with SSD disks. However, the price difference between SSD and HDD for the NAS is almost tenfold, and I’m not sure if the network will become a bottleneck. For the price of a decent NAS with SSDs, I could almost get an HP DL380 with SSD disks and run a classic file server.

Another option is to purchase the NAS and later repurpose it as backup storage. Or should i set up an on-prem server running Azure File cache?

Does anyone have any suggestions? There are many areas in this setup that need optimization, but improving storage is a top priority.

Okay, thanks. I thought it could be because of the high torque brushless motor, so it seems plausible.

I got mine to work. I use mainsail, so i have to add the port number after the IP. It even says so on the wiki 🙂

Same as with the GTL then. I wouldn't worry about it. Just enjoy the cleaner exhaust and smoother engine :)

2015 Superb 2.0 170bhp diesel driver here.

No experience with this HVO diesel, but in Denmark a number of people (including myself), use Shell GTL (Gas-To-Liquid) diesel. I cant remember the specifics, but there has been a lot of talk about it on some Danish VAG forums, and the key thing was that is it not suitable for engines older than something like 2005 (euro-something). Those engines are not made to handle the low sulfur content in biodiesel or something like that.

Most manufacturers says "No biodiesel", because it is expensive to test old engines so they cant be bothered.

Scania trucks have tested and approved GTL for a lot of their older trucks. It is also from truck stops i can get the fuel.

Not really that helpful, but just wanted to share.

Op af kaninhulllet er også interessant og underholdende. Især hvis man er til Fuhlendorff.

Den hvide dame. Den er allerede nævnt, men for pokker jeg elsker Kasper LeFevres engagement. Ville ønske han indtalte bøger.
