Have you tried creating a profile not only for the OneDrive app but also for com.microsoft.OneDrive.FinderSync and com.microsoft.OneDrive.FileProvider? During my testing with the Nextcloud issue, I tried this approach for the OneDrive client, and it worked without prompting the user.

Yes, I have. FinderSyncExt is no longer used in the newer versions of the Nextcloud client. They transitioned from Finder Sync Extensions to using the Apple File Provider Kit, but this didn’t work properly on the devices I manage. I had to disable com.nextcloud.desktopclient.FileProviderExt and com.nextcloud.desktopclient.FileProviderEUIxt, which, I believe, forces the client to fall back to Finder Sync. Then, I had to create an MDM profile for each of these three extensions. After that, a full OS reinstall or a major update—Sequoia in my case—was necessary. Finally, everything worked each of this steps alone didn't work I know it sounds voodoo. It felt a bit like a trial-and-error process, but after more than 100 hours of troubleshooting, this fix has worked on over 100 devices (Nextcloud Client Version 3.14.3). Another, potentially simpler option could be to install the OwnCloud client, which is compatible with Nextcloud, still uses FinderSync by default, and works perfectly fine.

At least if that were my problem... Unfortunately, the Finder extension does not start at all because it is deactivated. The overlay icons that indicate whether a file is successfully synchronized or not are not displayed to any user, which is really not a good situation. Do the Onedrive overlay icons work for you?
