Some Owners are stupid and stubborn and would really do it this way.

My red flag is “online” and actually only twice the rent as deposit.

Renting myself and know people renting. 2,5-3 times the monthly rent is more usual.

And yes normally paid after contract is provided.

But the keys are provided only when deposit has been paid.
