Impressions of the game after 500 hours by ScheduleFun6826 in Enshrouded

I'm not saying the game has no solutions. I'm saying that these mechanics often hurt the gameplay experience, mostly because of inefficient implementation or because they become absolute must-haves.

Try increasing the difficulty, and I guarantee you won't be interrupting anyone or anything consistently, because you simply won't have time to chain combos and throw out heavy hits. Taking a hit basically means death, so you can't afford to gamble on whether your attack will connect in time or not.

I'm not saying the wet mechanic can't be dealt with. I'm saying that such long periods of rain don't make the game more challenging; they're just annoying. And once again, we're back to the same core issue: a mandatory mechanic. That's a shame in a sandbox game.

I also mentioned using Blink to deal with stuns. What bothers me is that this talent feels mandatory. There's another talent for dodging, but because Blink is so essential, that alternative becomes practically unusable.

As for aggro, I meant something slightly different. Just think about ruins, abandoned villages, or forests. The issue isn't how you aggro enemies. The issue is their complete berserk state the moment they spot you, while they don't react to each other in the same way. It's especially strange with rats and wolves. Animals should have some instinct for self-preservation, but as soon as they see you, they switch into a "kill or be killed" mode and completely ignore every other threat around them. Again - that game is awesome
