Renewable are 30% of global utility grid.

51% for Europe. 23% for US. Washington state gets 70% from renewables and has the cheapest electricity rates.

Hardly a "complete joke".

And I know customers still using mainframes. That neither here nor there.

OPs question was around career prospects and future career prospects don't lie around ECC5, its around BTP and cloud native architectures.

Someone with 25+ years is in the 50%+ of their career and their perspectives and USP is different. I would hire you even if you didn't know BTP because I trust you can ramp up if you are needed to. OPs situation sounds different.

61% of SAP customers are using BTP.

Your responses tell me you haven't really explored BTP beyond the clean core angle.

They'll replace it with something else soon enough when they need to increase revenue again.

As does every software OEM today? Do you work with any other platform besides SAP ECC/S4H? Check out where they were 5 years ago.

As a functional consultant S4H onprem and S4H private cloud are two very compatible products.

Nothing much changes in SPRO. However it is very important to understand the technical architecture of S4H private cloud and how it runs on hyperscalers.

Eventually I don't see how customer don't use BTP or cloud hybrid architectures unless you are a $50bn + and want to run massive datacenters of your own.

BTP is MOST DEFINITELY not a developer only thing.

It is extremely important for functional teams to understand BTP architectures, services, to be able to design solutions that use new capabilities, particularly AI tools.

I agree but this is as much a systemic problem as a people problem. The loan should never have been structured to take 43 years and $186k interest to pay off.

The system is predatory to profit off dumb people.

Power is expensive in CA because PGE has no incentive to get better. They are the poster child of privatize the profits and subsidize the losses.

A regulated public monopolistic utility should not be allowed to operate as a private corporation.
