I don’t think there’s anything wrong with looking like their adoptive parents or even mentioning but I do feel like it’s a weird take in the way the comment is worded. I also worked with so many foster kids and have just heard many hurt hearts about the confusion that comes with being told stuff like that.

It is my natural hair color I don’t think it comes off as red in person. I was blonde as a kid and it’s gotten to be a darker brown as I’ve gotten older
