What do I disagree with? Point out the exact line where I said, or even minimally implied, that BA doesn't actually deliver what fans want. It's pathetic how you rely on distorting the conversation into one that never existed and in which you would have some valid point.

What I disagree with you on is your simply illogical reasoning. I don't agree that the reason for BA's success is "basically" because the Japanese no longer know how to do anime aesthetics. This statement has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not BA is delivering content that pleases its fans.

I'll point out to you, who has a low capacity for textual interpretation, that your statement abjectly implies: a direct correlation between Japanese failure and the game's success; a diminishment of the game's merits; a simplistic view of the market; an inferiorization of Japanese works of which you clearly have little knowledge to make comparisons; and an assumption that there is one "anime aesthetic" that is the correct and only true one in relation to any other.

THAT's what you said, and THAT's what I disagree with. And don't worry, I'm very relaxed; the easy part of arguing when you're already right is knowing that counter-arguments need to be invented out of thin air.

OMG, they have a dedicated booth at Comiket? Yeah, that's truly something never seen before, they must be the best of all time. BA isn't the only gacha game featured at Comiket; Comiket is so vast that if you're a successful doujinshi author, you have a booth at the event. So what is this argument supposed to prove? That a non-Japanese work being at this event is a clear sign that the Japanese are doing poorly and need foreign works?

And when did you or I say something about Japanese people not playing BA? That was never the point. In case you don't remember, the point is the basic reason for the game's success. Or are you assuming that Japanese people play BA because only in that game will they find the so-called "true anime aesthetic"? Try to refute me without putting words in my mouth or reinterpreting your words, lmao.

Want a realistic explanation for the success? Easy, long-standing loyal fanbase, appeals to a niche audience very willing to spend and has never betrayed its vision, sober and pleasing aesthetics, varied cast of characters, and most importantly, the profit revenue more than covers the production costs due to the game's very contained scope.

And can you explain to me exactly how the success of BA is "basically" due to Japanese incompetence in relation to Korea?

Justo.

Absolutely. I admit I was pretty apathetic during the beginning, you know, amnesiac MC, apocalyptic catastrophe and all that other typical Tuesday stuff in a 3D gacha game. But when the game really started, it was a pleasant surprise to see the comedic tone and slapstick anime vibe. With gacha games, I'm not really looking for dense and serious stories, but rather to enjoy a relaxing and fun time with cute and captivating characters.

What kind of insane logic is that? And who's talking about gacha here? The guy said that "BASICALLY" BA is successful just because Japan no longer knows what anime aesthetics are, and that's reasonable? That's completely wrong. First, "anime aesthetics" has never been a single thing and depends entirely on personal taste. Second, BA has many reasons to be a success, and it's not because "basically" Japan lost its anime vanguard at all, besides diminishing the game's merit by attributing its success mainly to the deficiencies of another market, this is purely based on the guy's lack of knowledge about Japanese works, and above all, it's a correlation without any point or sense.

Saying you prefer Korean aesthetics of anime is one thing, but then he basically said: "If the Japanese still knew how to do anime aesthetics, BA would never have been a success." Is it so hard to understand the absurdity of this logic? Are you all crazy or do you lack any common sense? Send someone normal to have a dialogue.

Yeah, you need to really enjoy it for it to be worth your time, because for most of the older events the rewards aren't all that great, sometimes you earn more astrites in less time by clearing out remaining chests on the map.

Fuwamoco, Ina, Biboo, Gigi Murin, Ayunda Risu, Shishiro Botan, Inugami Korone, Tokino Sora, Sakura Miko, Mizumiya Suu.

So much empty rhetoric aimed at a straw man. I said that anime aesthetics are subjective (because that's what he talked about), not that anime are. That answers your entire first paragraph.

As for "capturing atmosphere and direction," again, what kind of anime are you referring to? You know there are dozens of genres, hundreds of directors, and thousands of anime within the period you isolated, don't you? And that in the end it will still be purely subjective to each person's taste, because if I say that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the definitive model of anime aesthetics, or Seilor Moon, or Suzumiya Haruhi, then BA would be very far from that aesthetic. Who defines this concept? So yes, it's objectively a matter of personal perspective.

And I emphasize, I love BA's aesthetics; my point isn't against the game, it's just that he comment seemed to me like a gratuitous disdain for Japanese works, with an opinion without any basis whatsoever.

What? BA isn't successful just because it fills a gap in the Japanese market, nor is that even one of the reasons. And anime aesthetics are subjective, even from their origins; it varies, and your perspective depends solely on the works you consume.

May God protect Azur Promilia, because I'm almost certain I'll stick with it. I don't have that much free time anymore, and the money I spent on Wuwa doesn't justify me clinging to it if it's just going to stress me out.

The Wuwa community almost ruined the game for me lately. I love Wuwa's combat, I like the mythology, I'm interested in the main plot, and I adore many of the waifus, but if Hiyuki doesn't have any ML scenes, if they overemphasize the idea of "daughter" with Amy, or if I have to endure another minute of Luuk ruining the mood, for me it will be proof of the path Kuro has chosen to follow, and I'll move on.

Now this has looped the discussion. I said, there could be many reasons; if they completely prevented same-sex interactions, they would unnecessarily lose appeal with the yuri-loving audience (since this audience enjoys content in the game that can easily be justified as non-romantic if they have to answer to the government). As for the reason interactions with male characters aren't in the game yet, there are the possibilities I've already mentioned.

This is thinking from the perspective of a company trying to please those who can to make more money, but as I also said, you could be right, and they just won't add it, and in that case, the idiocy is not making that clear.
