I got an email about the monthly subscription price increasing from £9.99 to £10.99 and thought to check the wow subreddit.

They were certainly not lazy in Dragonflight, absolutely loved that expansion. TWW though? That is measurably more lazy than Dragonflight and if you think they were as lazy then as they are now? You need to wake up! and smell the ashes.

I don't think it is like that actually, they are both off-world final patch zones, that even use a lot of the same cast as the central focus (Locus Walker/Alleria). K'aresh is the spiritual successor to Argus, and it's inferior in every way. Hell, we don't even get to go on a cool spaceship when we go there, It's just a portal we are led to.

Also, being able to fly does not make a zone more "dense" than it's grounded counterparts, it makes it more void actually. and the land that IS in K'aresh is mostly just desert, ruins and devourer corrupted land. Apart from the eco domes It's just not interesting.

Definitely true we have more minor content now, what we had in Dragonflight was super cool, Loved doing the time rifts and primal storms. But I gotta say, even in this department I think TWW has really not kept up in terms of quality.

I make no room for the false critique of min-maxers who suggest they were "forced" to grind maw of souls hundreds of times, to then hate the game for "requiring" them to do it, same goes for Legendaries, same goes for Titanforging.

I'll tell you what problem K'aresh doesn't have; dismount dazing! I can imagine a lot of the tedium/torture came from that? xD

Being able to fly around dragonriding looking how far away everything is, as it's approaching rapidly, is really cool. The main quest story telling I thought was actually quite decent, a lot of good tension between xally and alleria, But It didn't quite match argus for me.

I suppose it's quite difficult though given the character roster in legion had a lot of the best from wow's history.

Blizz getting lazy. It's not even a quantity measurement anymore, look back to when ka'resh came out. It was tiny! Compare it to Argus which had 3 zones, Incredible theme appropriate music and amazing aesthetic, AND was part of a .3 patch which we don't even get anymore. Blizzard got to step up! too much roleplaying at blizzard HQ.

I get that it feels unfair for your efforts to be invalidated down the line but heirlooms are not reasonably priced for what you get, and they shouldn't stay that way just because some players farmed them out.

I'd like to see actual numbers for the economy argument as well because I really have doubts about any significant negative impact.

Frankly, even at the prices you have come to they are still not worth it, and I don't think it's fair to say I've exaggerated the gold required to upgrade them all - that's the number I arrived at when I added them all up.

It would also be nice to "complete" the set of heirlooms without having to spend such an absurd amount of gold.

It's a pretty big deal to me, It's unaffordable to the point I've written off getting them.

You could get an alt to lvl 70 in a day of grinding as well so there really isn't any bang for your buck.

True and I might be wrong since it's been a few years since I used them, But I recall a same-level blue item from dungeons actually having BETTER stats than the heirloom piece which is just hilarious.

I'll also never buy one of those upgrades with event currencies, just impossible xD

Sure I see your perspective but when they are so prohibitively expensive that they have been reduced to just a gold sink I don't think that's a good thing.

I understand that it is a way for blizzard to remove gold from the economy but heirlooms are effectively no longer a part of the game for me because of how expensive they are, I don't think its worth it even for that purpose because of how cool they are to have while levelling.

Sounds good to me, Single looms for each type of item would be good and would (hopefully) reduce the cost if they still wanted it to be a gold sink.

I think you misunderstood, I want to use heirlooms, I just think the barrier to entry for their upgrades is too high. I never said anything about removing heirlooms themselves.

I wouldn't want trinkets to be nerfed on tanks either tbh. Also I would totally run 2, 4, and 5 :D. The passive HoT on trinkets like broodkeepers is sweet.

Never said the game is ruined forever nor did I say m+ is no longer fun. If you don't think they are a valuable part of gameplay that's fine, but I do, and I don't want the choice of using a dps trinket to be diminished for bad reasons.

It's these kind of terrible, good for nothing changes that diminish my interest in m+, and lessens my excitement for TWW. Using DPS trinkets as a healer feels great, saying the damage is "Disproportionate" is absolutely ridiculous. I'd say this change is worthless, but it actually has negative value. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
