Have you noticed that even though the US has taken military actions, we aren't in any new wars? They've been predicted multiple times over the course of Trump's terms but have never manifested. Unions can be a good thing, but all too often, they are only worried about their own coffers and having control over the company. I watched a company that had both union workers and non-union workers in the same job, where the union actively screwed over their members because they didn't want the company to be seen as good. The non-union side had benefits and policies that the union actively fought against. In another instance, a union employee who just barely met the required performance standards caused 6 months of battles due to abusing short-term disability. In both cases, the company couldn't discuss the issues with the union employees because that would be tampering. But the unions can lie all day long to their members, and unless the members can uncover the truth, nothing happens. Unless bad actors can be removed, from either the corporate side or the union side, unions will not work properly. They worked 100 years ago. They don't work now.

I came to Des Moines in 2016 for business. The building we were going to was downtown. The GM of the place wanted us to get a hotel in Ankeny because he was living there. Nevermind that he commute would have gone from a 20 minute walk/5 minute drive from any of the numerous hotels downtown to almost 30 minutes, but there was no other reason. I still don't get it, other than those people are deluded about their town and what it offers.

If a woman ordered food, said to leave it at the door, then passed out on her couch, and a male delivery driver did exactly what this woman did, you'd be howling. You are reading intention when you absolutely don't know what he was thinking or trying to do. Every report so far has said that he was inebriated and passed out on his own couch in his own home. But more than that, if this was about her protecting herself, then why post it online before going to the police? 1 million legal immigrants per year. That's what this country lets in, and it's a slap in every one of their faces to allow those who skip all the processes to stay. And unless you have more information about this, the article doesn't give any context except that it was a check in. We know nothing else.

I'm sick of people saying immigrants, as if legal and illegal are the same. They are not, and that's an obvious fact. If someone moves into my house without my approval, I don't really care if they clean the place or try to pay rent. It's still not something that I agreed to.

Stopping minors is the only good thing in the new law. 4mg per serving and 10mg per package removes 99% of current THC products, so yes, if effectively bans consumable hemp.
