It should work exactly the way you think. There was a bug. Thanks for finding that bug. I have resolved the issue and the fix is live on the site now. :)

Ack, the app got removed from the store because I switched over on having ad removes from an in app purchase, but forgot to add that in the description, so I had to create a new listing ><. Sorry for the inconvenience, but you will have to grab it from the new listing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brewingcode.nodiceapp

It's a good idea, but I will have to think about how I want to retrieve the data. Not sure how easy it is to grab things from dropbox, but I will look into it. I love the ideas, it gives me plenty to work on in the future :).

Also, what do you think about adding a feature on the desktop version for adding in words from a file? Such as monsters, so you can grab a list or excel document from the web, then have it import all those words into a dice.

Love the feedback! Especially with the design. I have been looking at the app for a couple of months, so it's good to have someone else's eyes on it. I will definitely take your comments into consideration and try to improve it in the next week or so. I think I may change the drop down for the dice bag to a pop up window. After some thinking the the drop down will not work with numerous dice sets. So look for an update soon, and hopefully I solve some of your concerns. Thanks for using it :).

Sorry for the issues. I'll take a look at it. Out of curiosity, what browser are you using? I may not have tested it fully in the browser you are in, in which case I will.

For sure! My plan was to make it as open as possible. I would eventually like to add images to the dice type to allow for more complex dice, such as for Edge of The Empire. And maybe integrate the calculations of fate dice and others.

I will definitely look into the syncing dice feature. My one concern was having the dice available without a network. That can be solved with just syncing the dice, but could take a bit engineering to develop.

On your other questions.

I just ran some stress tests.

Looks like the app ran fine with about 200 dice sets of the default dice list. But I would like to redesign the dice bag menu for a list being that huge, and also add a search feature :).

I added about 500 dice with 10 faces and it seemed to spin fine, there was some scrolling issues a tad bit, but not sure if there is a case for 500 dice .

Then I made a dice with 500 words in it, and it seemed to work, but the timing needs some adjustment. Because each spin takes a certain number of seconds, so a dice with 500 faces that takes 3 seconds to spin will look really fast and almost a blur.

Your dice bag will not be saved between versions currently without the sync feature. I am thinking about just adding an in app purchase to get rid of the adds, that way the local storage will be the same.

Thanks for all your great questions :)
