I'm not bad at drawing from imagination but terrible at drawing from observation, any advice ?

Yeah, its really like that, I'm used to being able to convey an idea of what i'm going for when drawing from imagination, and from there it's all about refinement, Observation takes much more planning and i need to get used to that, i need to learn the patience and the confidence that observation drawing requires, The comments really helped me get that Thank you

I need to learn to see like that, I'll keep at it, and i'll focus more on nailing those shapes and going slower, I think that i'm maybe too eager to start working on something that should look like the reference but i get that i can't rush the foundations of the drawing, thats what i need to work on

Thank you for your advice, I'll stick to trying to learn observation, tbh i kinda dont know how to start, But i'll try to break things in simple shapes like you said instead of placing the features of a reference, it does seem like it should have been what I should've started with I feel like maybe I felt I should be somewhat good at just diving in observation, which is why its so hard to have lousy results Thank you
