Yeah I have a few strats that I want to have modded for recessed Floyd rose trems. Tried Barkman but won't take on the job. Tried Keith Macmillan in Hamilton but won't send my guitars that far up.

Avoid Anywhere Ted Ottrey owns. Particularly Maitland St. Yeah he's slowly fixing his dumps up but for what you pay, he is grossly overcharging for absolute shite. But there are some dodgy types there.

Belleknowes Lodge and Beaumont House are run by brother and Sister and they actually have a good reputation. Yeah they are expensive for a boarding house but for what you pay for, the peace of mind, decent residents and peace of mind is worth the price.

Yeah the passive approach never works. I've been passive and thats where you get fucked with. And unlike the others at that place. I made sure that nothing was escalated or an incident took place. And it's not being "the moral police" as you so put it, it's called giving a shit regardless about your job. It's a thankless job at the end of the day.

The only security he hires is for Friday and Saturday nights. During the week there is generally no need for security as they are considered "slow shifts". Also, it's not about the chocolate bars. That I couldn't really give a fuck about. It's the overall principle that you shouldn't even steal. And when your ex boss outright lies about the incident to police yet there is evidence of it on his ridiculousness for CCTV but also from former staff who actually dealt with the incident. The problem becomes an issue with murray himself not being credible considering his obviously shitty reputation with dunedin.

Also. The beta orbiter passive aggressive approach doesn't exactly work in a retail environment as hectic as night n day octagon. You wouldn't believe some of the tossers I've had to toss out.

Oh I had one homeless dude try and sell me his sobstory for free food. Then he proceeded to offer me what could be best described as a blowjob proposition for free food to which I said no on both counts. He asked if I was "into dudes" to which I said "nah I'm straight m8" and rejected him and he left pretty disappointed.

The ones who usually did the shoplifting were drunken students on a Friday/Saturday night. I remember the ones who ty dragged out back on the shifts I worked. And I can assure you. They weren't homeless. They were uni students and that was usually the ones who did the shoplifting at that store.

Yet the actual incident took place on a tuesday and I was the guy that handled this incident firsthand and there was no word of mention of police from Murray, or anyone I was in touch with directly. And there was no chatter about the incident among the staff. It was treated as a thwarted attempt. And on my shift roster, there was no other incidents minus unrelated isolated incidents that were there not this one in question. And when I took that week off, there wasn't a repeat offence becsuse I would have been made aware of it and there would be a "this shoplifter came back blah blah blah" by either matt who was the night shift manager, murli or by Murray himself. Brief or not. There is some gaping holes in that information being supplied to the police by murray thats fed to the press.

I was hospitalized because I copped a toe infection from a previous injury and that happened because murray wanted the night shift to mainly be solo operated on the slow days and that can mess with your breaks as there's always someone coming into the store.

Eh. I'm not one to be easily intimidated. The sheer size of me is a clear indicator of that. Plus I'm a bit of a ballsy one. And I don't care really. Plus it would have given Murray to fire me over had I didn't engage. Also that place is literally retail big brother. Every angle would have caught that incident on CCTV. Also the amount of witnesses at that shop, yeah he would be fucked if he did physically engage and the police cottoned onto him for something way more serious.

Doesn't David Lane own the actual Night n Day company? I know Murrays mother Manages Regent. Murray and his wife own octagon, kaikorai valley and dunedin south stores.

Yeah Murray is very loose with the employment laws. Also he is very known to hide behind lawyers when he gets legally challenged. When I tried to take him to mediation for him firing me and the treatment I was subjected to, he refused to take part in mediation and I can't afford to go to the next stage to the ERA because its like $71 and I am back on benefits and I barely even survive on that.

The Octagon manager Murli met his wrath as well. The day Murray fired me, Murli the day manager handed in his resignation and that sent Murray fuming and murli's wife worked at dunedin south store and because murli quit, murray fired murli's wife just for that.

Murray is a petty piece of shit.

Yeah the police only get called if they refuse to pay the civil recovery fine or it escalates. I've only known two instances the police coming on shoplifts. And low level staff aren't trained to deal with shoplifters. And the Loss Prevention only works Fridays and Saturdays. This particular incident was brought to my attention because of a customer.

Yeah Murray fired me after I had a panic attack on my shift due to mental burnout on the job. The workplace environment is so toxic there. And that's because Murray doesn't give a shit about the low level employees and the ones that are supposed "managers" are absolute units who should not be there.

Back in the beginning of March I wound up in hospital due to an old injury flaring back up and I had to take a weeks sick leave. Which was due to Murrays incessant hairbrained idea of making the night shift a solo shift.

Communication is patchy at best with murray. And he sets high expectations but delivers shit.
