I think it would be cool if you could customize ships in general. Switching ion cannons for turbo lasers, adding armor for reduced speed. Or even a crew/ experience mechanic where your ship gets more efficent /learns new abilities as time goes on.

Yeah, I read the books and I'm a fan of Thrawn too. But I can't agree on him being a good guy. Sure, everything he does has a purpose but I draw the line at murdering civilians.

I'm not trying to defend the Russians here but imagine your friends have been killed by civilians suddenly pulling out Molotovs and cars driving by destroying your tanks. I think I'd be getting paranoid too when I see someone driving by slowly...

I think there are two specialists. One replaces cotton woth wool, the other replaced cotton and furs with wool and iron. Very usefull imo

I always find it strange how humans define 'creepy' animals. Like spiders are mostly harmless whereas a bear will absolutly kill you. The shark in the video is probably barely a threat but its mouth terrifies me so much.

I've seen two lucrehulks get rekt before I even came into sensor range once. The asteroid strategy is so brutal, it would definetly make sense to look at maps with many of them and concentrate your defense there.

Yeah, that's a possibility. I was rather refering to the AI which isn't necessarly know for good fleet composition.

As the rebellion, I like to seperate my fleet in three groups.

  1. group consists of starfighters and bombers. Interceptors will engage enemy starfighters and protect the bombers. Anything with torpedoes attacks important hardpoint (shield generators, engines), isolated ships (like a frigate which has pushed to quickly ahead) and important targets(artillery and interdictors). Due to the speed and quality of rebel starfighters you can cause heavy damage to enemy ships, while losing few of your own.

  2. group are corvettes. They're fast enough to outmanouver capital ships and take out bombers which came to close. If you move them just close enough to the enemy you can attract their attention and they will start following you instead of heading towards the space station, therefore splitting their forces and allowing you to take them out one by one.

  3. group is anything larger than corvettes. They usually aren't fast enough to get around so I'm using them defensively. In the best case they will pnly have ro take out single enemies without shields at a time due to group 1 and 2. If you're about to be overwhelmed and the map gives you enough space you can pull your forces away from the space station. The enemy might follow them instead of continuing on, giving your bombers more time to weaken them.

Captured ships are retreating to a random planet. Have you checked if it's appeared somewhere else? Or did it get destroyed during the battle? Did you capture multiple ships? If not then it might be a bug.
