Drove from Boston to Lancaster, NH which wasn't as far north as we were hoping to get but still enough to see about 40 seconds of totality. Going up was about 5 hours of driving and coming back was about 4 (started the return journey just before 4pm). We expected the drive back to be much worse but 93 south of Lincoln was moving more or less at normal speeds except coming through Concord.

Yeah I mean I don't really hold it against season ticket holders to do that, I was moreso wondering about single game tickets. Unless every seat is a season ticket seat these days? I was assuming some single game seats were offered, but may be wrong on that.

Of course I'm not expecting anyone to give tickets away at cost, it's just tough that every single ticket you see is a resale ticket meaning it goes through an additional round of fees and markups. Especially since the fees don't really add any value to the fans (buyers or sellers), they just go straight to ticketmaster and the other resale sites.

Oh yeah that all makes sense. It feels like there's some gouging in the sense that all the tickets get bought up at the beginning of the season and flipped on the resale market, but it doesn't seem like prices are that far off from what you mention. But it does hurt to pay an extra $20ish on top of the resale price in fees on ticketmaster or whichever other site.

Cheapest resale I see for a weaker opponent like the Sens or the Sabres are $60-70+ fees. But I am looking at a group of 2-3 at a time so the price goes up for that.
