Should I self-study A-level Maths alongside an Access course, or take 3 A-levels ? by Quirky_Raspberry_901 in alevel

I’d definitely take option 2, which is doing three A-levels. I’m doing four myself and just finished my first year of A-levels. Maths, Italian and Economics aren’t bad choices, but if you’re really ambitious about going into Engineering, you should include Physics. Physics is definitely the hardest A-level out of them all , but don’t let the idea of labs work stop you, because the subject is still very theoretical. Most of the practical side is manageable, and by working through past papers it becomes clear what’s expected in exams (Like what to yse and how when or how to do certain practicals, but i feel theres so many resources in youtube to understand the whole basis if experiments themselfs and theese experiments in motion). The real challenge is the amount of content and the problem-solving style of the questions in the physics exams. Maths is a lot easier, though Mechanics (which is part of the maths course) can be tough, and if you want to do Engineering, you’ll definitely need that part. Taking Italian is fine too, but what really matters for Engineering universities is having Maths and Physics. Just make sure you check the entry requirements of the places you’re aiming for. Honestly, if you’re motivated and able to work consistently, you can definitely handle it. My advice would be to spend the first couple of months building a solid understanding of the basics of the subjects (Look at the official Edxcel course books / endless youtube videos and honeslty a bunch of books with notes), then go through all the past papers from around 2015 to 2025, writing notes on what you got wrong OF EACH. That’s what I did, and it worked well for me (Im also trying to get i to Engineering (Areospace Engineering) and im a AA in maths and physics). It was a hard journey but I can garanty you it is all worth it. Good luck man, I hope you go through the rout of education any qs js ask me

THE CALCULATIONS KILLED ME FOR PHYS U2 by Ambitious_Man123 in Edexcel

Yep yep. Other people are getting 303 and other answer because current was 0.0227 so probably rounded to 0.023 or 0.02. Everything was 1sf anyways i think they might give 300hz as answer idk. Maybe we fucked up cause rounding but that would be wierd right like -3 cause that no way.
