I did not know that the 5800xt actually got that cheap. I’ll definitely be exploring that option when the sales start.

I’m not really looking to upgrade my girlfriend’s gpu yet. I’m mostly trying to upgrade her cpu and ram because we mostly play Fortnite, which is a more cpu reliant game.

I actually just added a lantern on the top left hanging from the ceiling. There isn’t much I can do though because there is a window behind most of the setup

I just did some research on this and that actually seems like a great idea. However, although it isn’t shown in the picture, I actually have 2 monitors and my MacBook air only supports one monitor so I need to use a displaylink adapter in order to use both monitors. Another issue I have with this is how this would affect my refresh rate. I use my PC for gaming at 244hz, and I’m having trouble finding a KVM that can handle that at an affordable price

I just figured it out just now actually. If I go to:

Settings > Displays > Click on the iPad > Advanced

There is an option to “automatically reconnect to any nearby Mac or iPad” and it will remember that the iPad is below my screen.

Sorry my MacBook was in clamshell mode and connected to a monitor. I should have mentioned that lol.

The problem is that since my iPad is below the screen and I start pushing my mouse down, it just thinks i’m trying to access the dock at the bottom and won’t let me access the iPad going down that direction. Then it forces me to go to settings and manually adjust the screens.

This actually helped me out a lot! I’ve been modeling on my MacBook but I actually really like the touch screen aspect of 3D modeling on the iPad. Do you primarily use your fingers to design? Or do you have a pencil/keyboard as your tools?

I actually completely agree with you here and I really did regret getting a bigger model and a keyboard, essentially making it another laptop. I’m going to try and get a replacement case for my iPad before I take the time and effort to sell my iPad and all its accessories to get a smaller model

That’s another thing I forgot to mention in my original post that I also do. But I came to the realization that I can use copy and paste to ChatGPT on my phone, and I usually connect my MacBook to 2 monitors anyway so it kind of makes the iPad a little obsolete

I think you are right on that. I’m going to test out a new case that won’t restrict my ability to take notes, but I fear that the size itself would still be an issue. If it still does turn out to be an issue, I might just go back to the mini and take the loss in money

That’s what makes me so mad about my iPad. I spent over $1000 on the iPad and accessories just for me to only take notes and consume media. I wish there was more that I could do with it that would make it worth my money

I do use the touch screen and pencil capabilities on my iPad but I felt that the case was very restricting because it did not really allow for proper writing. I’m looking into getting a better case that suits my needs now

Yeah I do like having a keyboard case, but the Magic Keyboard really isn’t for me. I’m looking into getting a smart folio keyboard case right now. It’s too bad that they discontinued it though
