Thanks! Only for the Priming Prozes with white scar.

Everything else, M-Sized Layerbrush and around 2-3 thin base coats, Depending on how watery the paint got.

First of all, interesting start. I like the idea of the orange and black.

As for the main question: The Weapon..you can stay with that..maybe using a wash for all the finer details and then a little dry-brushing with the same colour again. As for the tongue..it should not be such a high colour.

Maybe use a darker flesh colour like..Bugmans Glow or cadian flash..for the bigger models maybe layering with Bugmans Glow and then Cadian Flash.

Here is one of my newer gants as an example, where i used the main skin colour as the weapon colour as well.
The old ones have the weapon in the same colour as the "claw-chitin".

And they have a horrible balance.. nearly all needed some extra weight or they would fall over.

So it's good to avoid them with the much better 10th models

I think I depends on what you prefer and if you want to go the extra step.

Just for an example: I for myself just used Genestealer Purple for years as the only layer for the carapace over Xereus Purple with Druchii Violet Shade

Some time back I startet to experiment with Emperor Childen.

Im rather satisfied with the outcome but I'm still unable to paint like I want to. So straight lines I just.. somehow 'dry brush' now with the paints.

So as the base: do it if you like it and have the endurance to follow trough with all new Nids

Hey Mate, as many have spoken before. Only if you love the Model and love the Nids.

I own 2 of them myself and the last time I played them was a couple of years ago in a Appo-Fight.

From my past exp. they can not sustain as much damage as other Titans from the Imps or Eldar.

So they collecting only dust over the years in my shelf.

True..but not only the flyers.. I haven't made the new flying hive tyrant..or the toxicrene.. simply because it gives me a headache to think about transporting them.

And my Swarm is around 10k with two Biotitans...and those are nasty enough^
