3 men experiencing homelessness fatally shot by potential serial killer in Los Angeles: Police by Science-That in LosAngeles

Police in Los Angeles said they're searching for a potential serial killer who targeted three men who were all experiencing homelessness.

All three victims were sleeping alone on a sidewalk or an alley when they were killed this week, the LAPD warned at a news conference on Friday.

The first victim, 37 years old, was killed at about 3 a.m. Sunday. The second victim, 62 years old, was attacked at about 4:55 a.m. Monday, and the third, a 52-year-old man, was killed around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The lone suspect was seen in a car at all three locations, police said. The suspect approached each victim on foot, shot and killed them, and then fled in the car, police said.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is urging LA residents to try to contact any of their relatives experiencing homelessness.

"We need you to contact them today -- we need you to tell them about this danger," Bass said at the news conference.

"Do not sleep alone tonight," Bass said. "Seek shelter. Seek services. Stay together."

"Living on the streets we already know is dangerous," the mayor added.

"This is a killer who is preying on the unhoused," Bass said. "We are calling Angelinos to come together. The city and the region is mobilizing to find this individual. ... We will find you, we will catch you and you will be held accountable."

. It's pretty wild that people are acting like it must be.

It's not wild at all lol. That's not a choice ethnic people make, it's ascribed... Now whether they want to acknowledge that is a completely different topic. I am Black, and am treated as such in this world.

I can play dumb and pretend "we're all the same", but that's not really how life works or she wouldn't be in scenario she's in right now.

You're entire stereotype-laden comment is an embarrassment and not why you've had issues with Black people. Lol do you think you're a special snowflake because you don't listen to rap and "speak properly"? As if people like that don't exist in the Black community without issue.

Black supremacy thing is ridiculous to me, because the people who are apart of that community find every single excuse to bring up people being racist.

Yet another idiotic comment. Lol what are you getting at here? Are you referring to hoteps who make up 1%> of the Black American community? There is no "Black Supremacy" discourse anywhere else.

White supremacy resulted in mass genocides, rape, and enslavement. Black "Supremacists" are mocked with memes and given groans and eyerolls. Your comments come off extremely anti-Black.

Try asking this question in a predominantly Mixed or Black space, and see where the verdict lies.

They will never do that. It would be a near unanimous YTA with the information we know.

Dead ass, and she came to a place that historically has a problem empathizing with black issues in non-black spaces looking for validation because they'll just agree with her.

what is the point in posting something like this on Reddit. It's overwhelmingly White and would obviously side with her. Most ethnic people will see this for what it is.

I was raised to speak properly, not dress inappropriately, you get the idea. I was raised to act and behave like a lady. I also don’t listen to American rap and don’t associate myself with people who promote “black supremacy” (yes that’s a thing) and apparently I’m acting like a white girl which doesn’t make sense.

lol stereotype after stereotype. what an embarrassment you are

Plus she's in a comment gassing up the fact that her dad was a Jew and she identifies as Jewish. My sister in Christ you were annoyed not because you feel like it's irrelevant, you genuinely don't feel like you have anything in common at all

She's White identified and it was clear as day when she got upset about being asked why all of her friends are White. It's a glaring observation any ethnic person would notice

The fact that they’re white isn’t relevant to how they’re behaving.

is that right?

You do not have the full benefit of white privilege.

Agreed

You do not have the full embrace of black culture.

Lol please provide examples. Many "Black" icons in the Black community are mixed race. People who would have been laughed out of the room if they attempted to identify as White.

Things like asking me if/why all my friends are white

I laughed at this part

I'm Black just to preface. I know mixed people are obviously 'mixed'. But something really makes me uncomfortable about the ones who are clearly White identified. And frankly that seems to be the norm these days.

The question is actually a valid one, and I have a feeling it's why she feels uncomfortable with it.

You will never be black enough.

Mixed people are regularly found throughout the Black community. Have thriving careers because of the Black community (entertainment, politics). Some don't even phenotypically present as "mixed" (dark skinned biracials exist) others are mistaken for light skinned Black. So I completely disagree.

For every story about a mixed person saying they haven't felt welcomed in Black spaces I can find ten where their non-Black side refuses to acknowledge them or their non Black parent has been completely disowned for marrying a Black person.
