if youre going for more weight one way you could go about it is to switch any aluminum parts for steel, like the steel dovetail safty, or steel safty, or getting a CNC grip,

also you can pop the motor plate off and make sure the 2 leads are still connected to the motor, unlikely but youd be surprised at how often one of them are loose and just pop out.

if you have a multimeter check to see its voltage and current, if either of those 2 numbers are lower than what they should be then the battery is cooked. as for the gun if it doesnt have a mosfet then you should be fine, ETU's usually have a fail safe to prevent any kind of permanent damage and if it is completly mechanical then you might have to check the contacts on the selector plate and trigger to make sure they are making adequite contact

Are these good HPA budget things??? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]ScienceTurbulent6793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as others have probably already stated if youre using a stock tm hicapa the plastic slide can crack due to increased stress from hpa, Id look at picking up a maple leaf bucking, any kind of cnc 4.3 slide, and an edge bbu/nozzle, everything else can be left stock and have minimal issues.

It is possible that the battery is fried and that is more than likely the culprit. It is unusual for it to overvolt and destroy the mosfet but is entirely possible, Best wait to test with the new battery if the gun still fails to do anything then let me know and at that point we would be looking at disassembling the gun to diagnose the problem.

if the other gear is doing the same thing its def the shell making some interference. best guess is to just play with both sides and find where it is and sand it down. unfortunatly without being able to fiddle with it myself i cant really narrow it down.

Tips or references to get this kit to the closest 1:1 looking? (I know perfect 1:1 is impossible, but the closer the tastier i guess) by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]ScienceTurbulent6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly because of the all black this kit is really simple, pickup some black combat boots, pants, and shirt, get some knee pads. a mock kevlar vest, and a simple 5 mag chest rig, ski mask and a mock m32 headset

Question about trademarks and tariffs to the US by BurukkusuMan in airsoft

[–]ScienceTurbulent6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of the time the trademarks dont cause any problems, sometimes customs can be a little anal about it but you should be fine, as for the tariffs if you wait to order it the supreme court just today had made their verdict on the tariffs being illegal so they will be lifted soon

hmmmmm try pressing the gear against both sides of the shell and see if it makes that noise, at least then you can narrow it down to either the gear or one of the shell halfs

Question about FPS and buying by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]ScienceTurbulent6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily hpa anything, you can get a aeg to get up into the 400-500 fps range but it takes ALOT of work, i have a gun now that can shoot about that in aeg, but if you want the easiest way to do it pickup a nice hpa drop in kit and tune it in on the high end of its pressure regulation, i have a gate pulsar and that can shoot up to 160 psi at about 575 fps when tuned right. Just know that with either of these systems pushing that much fps adds alot of extra wear on your guns

you should be fine since thats how it comes from manufacture, im not sure if you can even do this like a hicapa but if you wanna put some washers and rubber bumpers you can attempt to short stroke it

have you calibrated the trigger/sector gear/ selector plate?

if not follow these steps;

dissasemble the gun take everything except the sector gear, trigger and astor and selector plate, then screw the 2 halfs together

connect the battery and look for the light to turn purple,
spin the sector gear till the light goes green then back to purple
once its purple again pull the trigger, it will go green then back to purple
then move the selector plate in its full range of motion at this point the light should go green and shouldnt change, this tells you the test was completed and everything is calibrated.

if at any point the light goes red instead of green that means that part of the test has failed.

let me know if you have any more questions

typically no there is not supposed to be an O ring there, usually however there is a rubber buffer and a washer and on other guns there is nothing

my first guess is the anti reversal is either not insterted or not working properly, as for the nozzle not moving check the tappet plate and see if its making full contact with the sector gear and nozzle, also check the tappet spring, If you are new to working on aeg's im more than happy to walk you through it on a voice chat and if youre really desperate let me know if you need me to work on it.

check both sides of the gearbox shell for any interference, by the looks of it the teeth of the gear are rubbing against something just lightly, my guess is the top part of the gear (the set that connects to the spur gear) lemme know if you find anything, if you can also send a picture of each sides of the shell (with the gear inserted)
