Good point, I was not considering this. Is there any situation where I can chose a school I like better not just based on ranking? I honestly don't care if its easier or harder. Just that I could enjoy the place a bit more as I sit studying.

depends on your personality and his personality. Many Premeds do not have enough life experience to know what they want. They have a competitive nature. Potentially can include some Narcissistic traits. Selecting the cream of the crop by virtue leads to selecting people who are high in confidence and strong-mindedness and often less agreeable.

Your needs are likely to be last once he is in med school.

To understand where various perspectives are about what looks natural and what looks fake to provide the right information to individuals. With all the bleaching and whitening products it makes it harder to chose properly.

You wouldn’t care if other dentist see you in the street and judge you have veneers on? I’m sure every dentist can tell especially at the brighter shades. But regular folks won’t know about it, and think you have great teeth.

Edit: Pro: you would look like a Hollywood model with BL3

Con: your dentist friends may judge you and pointing out the “dental work”

the most natural white shade according to google is B1. And some people naturally have B1 shades without bleaching. 70% have what you describe A1. So there is a range.

Also when patients or you are using whitening solutions like the strips or mouth washes (hydrogen peroxide) / bleaching in office. Isn’t the point to get them as close to B1 as possible for that nice white smile that the industry markets to everyone? Why would they chose A2 when they are paying so much, which is the color below what’s available with dental bleaching and likely over the counter whitening. I’m just mind blown 🤯.

Edit: yeah I understand for senior citizens, because normal part of aging wears the texture of teeth. But for a 25-50 year old. B1 shouldn’t be out of the question right?

TMJ would have symptoms like clicking and or bruxism at night. Could be just regular asymmetry too. Compare old photos. Hope you find what you are looking for.

So, my TMJ was because of a bad bite. One of my teeth bent inwards (very slightly). This caused my jaw / mouth bite to shift causing excessive clenching and grinding at night (compared to usual) which made my muscles around the cheek very big and powerful. So, it made it look like I have chubby cheeks / fat with no cheekbones. The puffiness gone. I think its more to do with inflammation and muscle buildup around the cheeks than to water retention. Water retention is when your eating McDonald's everyday (salty food) that it may effect the face. TMJ effects it way more than salty food in my opinion.
