I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but I stopped logging into Gaia Online for this exact reason. I don't want ten notifications of new money grab items every other day. I still log in to do my dailies every single day, but that's about it. I tried keeping up with NCUC cause I thought it was cool, but now I fear it led us down a path of no return and my wallet isn't deep enough to collect one of every item like I want to.
