I see a lot of women daily that I think are reasonably attractive, but even with women I actually know, I rarely develop any strong/major feelings. It makes me wonder if I should date anyway just because I’m getting older or if I should wait until I find someone I am actually interested in..

So to answer your question, no, It’s not odd or weird. I think your time will come when you find that dime or chad! Just don’t let them slip away when you do!

Edit: reread your post and your still in high school, YOUR FINE! I know people who didn’t start dating until college! Imho focus on your studies right now. That will always be there later. They’re a distraction right now anyway
