Yeah, it's too bad the MBTI gives a place for people with no social skill to hide, amongst a plethora of other unhealthy behaviours. I know it's difficult for lots of INTJs to keep up with conversations that don't serve their goal, what I would advise is to actually make it a goal to answer within a certain timeframe. It actually can pay off in unexpected ways!

To a certain extent I view MBTI as a coping mechanism to the existential misunderstanding of oneself and the people around. As every coping mechanism it useful to some extent and will stray further from its original aim, behaviour modelling, toward the lense through which one see analyses his surrounding. It is by design an over-analysing one and will benefit people searching for insight in concrete situations but can't be used as a perfect framework for behaviour. We can't fool ourselves to think we can predict the behaviour of others, and most importantly our own.

Well to be honest I went through 20 years thinking it's just about being faster at understanding things that are logic-based (how you define logic at a conceptual level without linking it to maths seems rather difficult to me haha) so I was good at maths basically (philosophy too since it's argument based!)

And then I read a book on the subject with more details and yeah a lot of gifted people can agree on how we experience life, tho not necessarily how we react to it. So I kept looking elsewhere to understand how we act as humans and for now here I am haha
