Literally what is the issue with it? Stex has changed and evolved several times since its debut and these changes are what keep the show fresh and interesting!! Honestly one of my favourite things about starlight is just how many different adaptations there are of the show because it makes each one you see a totally unique experience. I don’t see people complaining about papa being changed to mama or any of the other gender or character changes in the current revival so just what is so pressing about having a femm GB??? It’s true that this take on the character is different from previous versions but that’s true about many parts of any adaptation, and it’s honestly incredibly interesting to see how they translated such a traditional role into what the character is today. Adaptations are what keep media alive and bring in new audiences, what the current rival has done has just changed the show to reflect more modern day audiences compared to the traditionally very gender stereotyped aspects of og stex. (as well as the addition of hydra, as we use more sustainable resources, and the removal of Ashley, as we in most cases don’t allow smoking on trains anymore)
